Cooler day today only 100 degrees

Wow! Right now, it's 61, and the high is going to be 65! We had a very cool summer, and I'm not happy about it!

My dad who lives in Wis, was complaining about that yesterday, what I wouldn't give to see 65 degrees. Right now I'm covered in sweat just taking the dog out for a short stroll. And even though we don't live close to the fires, yesterday we smelled the smoke, I don't know how, but we smelled it

Skunk smell is very hard to get out of things, WTH are they going to do? This is tricky  I wouldn't know where to start.

From what I read online you can rent an ozone generator.Close the house up for so many ours and then open the house up and air it out.
I'll take swatting skeeters any day.
Ozone Generator sounds very expensive.

He was back last night and SIL went to the basement and shot him.
Now they can't stand to stay in the house because it smells like a skunk.
I was crying from laughing so hard.I wonder what they will do?
Woo Hoo!!!! OMG, I'm laughing so hard!!! We had that happen way back when..first thing in the morning as we were all getting ready for school and work. We didn't realize that the smell stayed on us until we got to our respective daily places. I got sent home from work, had to get the kids out of school, and hubby worked outside only jobs that day. As awful as it was, we all laughed like hell thru it.

What helped get rid of the smell was taking cedar kindling and starting it on fire, then blowing the flame out and just basically carrying around a cedar smudge stick thru the whole house. Frakkin' skunk, my DH found him the next day and dispatched him promptly with a gun. We cheered!

Me too, and I just know even with doing all that, I would still be smelling skunk  One time we had a bird come through the chimney, well I realize that is nothing like a skunk, but mom use to be terrified of birds. By the time my dad and neighbor got done trying to get rid of the bird in the basement, it looked like a war zone, and all the while my mom screamed. They then put something on the chimney so that couldn't happen again
I wouldn't know what to do with a bird either, Josef would probably get it.

Well that doesn't sound good! It made me so sad to see the trees changing colors already. It's beautiful, but it's too early. Summer is short enough, and we barely had any days over low 80's.

I'm not a winter person, at all!

We didn't have any pets then, because of severe allergies. My mom was so afraid of birds, she would not even eat chicken wings. I have no idea why she had such a fear, but she did.

Would she eat thighs and legs? Or just no wings?

I sometimes wish I could sleep straight thru til Spring. And I especially hate the dreary, rainy days in the Fall. Bleh!

I do not miss those 100 degree days! It does get hot, but living in the mountain area, we have all the trees to help with the heat. But in the winter, it gets very cold!

Monkey Devil! Hubby's daughter and the son in law are not country people.Just the visual of it all is cracking me up.I'm glad hubby came home before the killing. He would not bring that smell here. Can you imagine riding in the truck and leaving the smell there too?
It will be interesting to see what they do.

I love it here when it is 60 to 70 degrees.
The good thing about the cold weather is getting out in the woods and walking.

She would only not eat wings. And if your hubby would have brought the skunk smell home, imagine Digger and Taco  they would have been wild.
