Update on my brother -  he's not doing well.   He hasn't been trying to walk or anything.  He just wants to lay there and be left alone.   Doc said if he doesn't get up and try to start moving, he's going to get pneumonia.  He's still in ICU.      They are saying when he leaves that hospital, they are going to put him in a rehab center for a couple of weeks because he will need help walking and getting out of chairs, etc.   

Sassy I will continue praying for him - I hope they can get him up and moving around it is important after surgery to move some.   

Thanks.    Its almost like he is just giving up.   I hope his wife can get through to him that he has to MOVE!   He's not listening to the rest of us..

I hope so. And that's scary about those kids going door to door, we get that once in awhile and they are selling magazine subscriptions.

  Some guy just showed up at my door.I do not know who he was.He asked me if I was the Queen of the castle and I said YES

He said I have something for you,and raised his arm as to give me a bottle of some kind of cleaning liquid,and I said I am not interested.He stepped toward me and said I guess you are wondering who I am...I said HE!! no I am not,get of my damn porch right now.You should have seen this guy.He was not alone,and the van was still running.
Hubby came running down stairs....what's going on?
I was livid.     Nor I am not stupid.If I had been home alone I would not have opened the door.      I would shoot through the door.
WTF?Who comes down a dead end dirt road 2 miles off the beaten path?
 
Do you think I over reacted?   
Maybe I should cut back on the caffeine.   

HOLY CRAP!!  No, you did not over react!!   I hope you have called the police!!  And keep your gun ready!!     These guys are up to no good...no reason to come down a dead end dirt road!!!

Hubby just went and talked to the neighbor back across the hollow...guess what?
The same van showed up at his house and he ran them off.Seems the County Law x2 are on their way.   
There have been complaints of the van in this area.Not going to every house,skipping around.
They pretend to have a problem or need water and distract you and the otherscome in and they rob you.    OMG! I am shaking.
My girlfriend next door was at her shop and didn't hear anybody.They could have got her too.
It's not looking good for these guys.This used to be one of the safest places you can imagine.   

My hinky meter was right.

Thanks NoRose.I keep my pistol put up because of the kids,but since they are not here,I have it handy.     Just in case.I think there is a group of these people.I hope no one else thinks of coming out this way.  Bang! 
I walked in on an intruder years ago,and after that I learned how to shoot.

Every woman should know how to properly use a gun and have one!! IMO.

Trimm I am with JSM with this. How scary for you all.  Thank God your hubby was home. These scum bags probable think they are safe robbing people out in the rural areas. What they don't realize is just cause we live in the country we aren't stupid. Since we moved from the city to the country, I have found that we all pay more attention to who comes and goes around us than living in the city. Everybody watches out for each other. I hope they catch them.  Please let us know what happens.

Thanks.I hope the LE got them.then I got to wondering how many vehicles they may be using.    Anyway,LE says they have many complaints.I have a suspicion where they came from.I'll be checking on it.

I just wanted to tell you all what an awesome group you all are. After reading all your post for Tevye this morning with all the music for her. You guys are just awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know how to post the videos or the music. But I have been praying for Tevye and a successful out come from her surgery today. Everyone have a good rest of the day. God Bless

A rehab center will be great for him..they do wonders....you know I am praying for him

I hate when people come to my door. I don't usually answer, but sometimes get caught off guard. I'm not good at getting rid of people, atleast I usually feel bad and hate to be rude. That's why I try not to answer! I just say not interested, thank you but, NO!  I'd freak out if someone stepped toward me.

(PS anyone else have problems typing in replies, with it jumping arounD?? Probably just me?

JSM,I'll be back in a bit.My neighbor just fond 2 mexicans next door pretending to sell vaccuum cleaners.The white van got a way.It must have left them    ,!!!!!  The police just chased athe van accross the bridge.OMG  I am freaking out.

That's so scary, it sounds like they are traveling around, to see what they can rob, but if something would go wrong, people like that wouldn't think twice about shooting the owner. Sure hope the police get them quick.

About two months ago, we had a group of young people (looked like college students) that were going around to the condo/townhouse sections of our development and knocking on doors - asking for donations for a church repair project.  Then the following weekend, they went around knocking on doors and asking for donations for a scholarship program through the Washington Post. (which was bogus)    They even cornered my daughter as she was trying to get out of her car.   She was inside her car and called me.   I told her not to get out until they left.  She let them see that she was on her cell phone and they walked away.   I called 911 and reported them.   They must have picked these guys up because I never saw them again.    The cops told me they were probably bumming money for drugs.
