What do you to with all them taters?????

I got one ripe mater about the size of an egg so far.  And only about 5 more green ones.  Thank goodness my mom's are going crazy and she gives me ones she can't use. 

That whole Jaycee situation is so demented.  I'm not sure I'll catch up today. 

Enjoy the nice day, fall is here too.  I love fall, but that means winter is coming.

My mom still has a cold room in her basement.  Shelves and shelves of home canning, and a huge potato bin.  After I give my neighbours some and keep some for myself the rest are going into her cold room.  I visit with her weekly so it works well.   

So did my grandma, shelves and shelves of home canning, and grandpa had big crocks, he was busy making dandelion wine  Dandelions are good for something 

My mom has big crocks in her cold room.   I always thought it was sauerkraut in there.  Now wondering if she is making some hooch.....

  Guess you may never know, tell you what my grandpa went to church everyday, and sure didn't look the type that was making hooch in the basement

Hope you are feeling better JSM.  Northern Rose, I would love to be swimming in that nice pool with that cat and dog, I'm already hot  And I don't mean hot in a good way  Today will be taking more stuff off walls, and then the arguements will start, what will go to the Salvation Army, what will stay. Will it be violet or cottage rose, those are her options after fighting about a dark purple in the room. I like purple but it is going to look black on the walls, and we have already lived through years of punk rock attire, and things on the wall

I have not listened to all the interviews yet.  I think it is going to take some time as my brain starts screaming when I listen to some of them.   Nice day today so I think I am digging up the 156 hills of potatoes today.  If I am still alive maybe my carrots and leeks as well.    Sure felt like fall this morning. I noticed trees are losing leaves already.....and still NOT ONE ripe tomatoe.

I  just updated Jaycee thread.  Scumbag made music CD's singing about young girls.  The lyrics are exceptionally disturbing.

We sometimes go to my inlaws for dinner, and one time he said we're having dandelion. My brain knew what dandelions are, but I didn't think he really meant the weed dandelion. So, we eat, and I asked him what it really was. He explained, and I was like  , being a city girl, but to be honest, it was pretty good. A little bitter, but good. He literally went in his back yard, and pulled out dinner!
