The matter surfaced after news reports of a derogatory comment Jones made in the past about Republicans, and separately, of Jones' name appearing on a petition connected to the events surrounding the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks. I am so so in the Vitamin D mode - due to some research.
HMMMPH - the RDA Allowance of VIT D for Women over 18 -pre Senior. Is 200 IU.
Which I found that the study was in the early 1970's and has never ever been re-introduced into Medicine - as for " What is required in Todays living"  - or otherwise.

Vit D is essential and it is crucial for all human beings. The only natural way you are able to absorb Vit D is through Sun. Well we have been told for the last 20 yrs or so to wear the Highest Value of Sun Blockers and or Sunscreens - and all are inhibitors of Vit D. So say you work in an office 40 hours a week. You sit in your car 10 hours a week to go to that Job. 50 hours a week you are not exposed to the sun.
Do you know that if you use Tanning Booths or Tanning beds on a weekly, monthly basis - that the skin actually becomes encased that it will not absorb Vit D from the Sun in its natural state.
So what if you live in a state such as Washington and it is cloudy and or raining 5 months out of the year - ??
Or you have a career that you work Midnights and sleep during the day ? So what is your body receiving from the Sun - Not much Vit D.
Do you know that if you do not have the proper values of Vit D within your body - your body will not except Calcium. That if your taking products with Calcium and or Calcium supplements -that your just Peeing them out - literally. No nutritional value what so ever is being absorbed.

My reason for posting this is the Govt says the RDA Allowance is 200IU - which is total baloney - We are in Need of this Vitamin at much higher daily allowances - In order to be healthy, heal and protect our bodies.  Its not a fade, its not a herb, it is essential to sustain a healthy body .........So Why I ask is the Govt not up on this ???

On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me. They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide.

I have been inundated with calls - from across the political spectrum - urging me to "stay and fight."

But I came here to fight for others, not for myself. I cannot in good conscience ask my colleagues to expend precious time and energy defending or explaining my past. We need all hands on deck, fighting for the future.

It has been a great honor to serve my country and my President in this capacity. I thank everyone who has offered support and encouragement. I am proud to have been able to make a contribution to the clean energy future. I will continue to do so, in the months and years ahead."
