I am a smoker. For the present time. I have cut down alot and am planning on being a non smoker. When ? I am not sure, but it's coming.
I was at the lake yesterday and was made to feel like a felon when I went behind a building to smoke and got caught when one of them did a drive by.

There was one night here when I hid the ciggies on myself and then forgot where I put them. Took me 1/2 an hour to find them. I wanted to be in the hospital for a week with the Michael Jackson morphine on demand pump.
Why don't they have treatment programs like that ? SIL had a treatment program like that figured out for me, but it was in the garden shed, locked from the outside with a window for food and a chemical toilet and a cot.
I suspect that might be illegal.

I love the ppl of WalMart photos. KMart in the USA is the same. In Canada, we have the same type of ill dresed ppl. Pretty hard to not laff.
The racetrack here is pretty good for oddly fashioned persons.

Yes it was nice of her, but she had to tell me I wouldn't be sick if I didn't smoke. 

Hey, be sure and tell her about the people you know who smoke who also got cancer....and have perfect lungs! That would be me. but wait to tell her till after she gives you the food!

  She couldn't believe my friend smoked through her cancer treatments, but if it gets you through it I say go for it!

Hey, can DH and I come over later for BLTs? Our dog would love your carrots (for some reason, our dogs dig the carrots out of the garden and eat them...since the old one passed this spring, I'm not sure the young one is still digging them, but he does eat them:)

Wonder news about the A!      

Yup BLT's later sounds great.  One slice from the tomatoes covers the whole slice of bread.  Guess what I had for lunch?  Yum!  I also made a wonderfull tomato salad for dinner last night, sliced tomatoes, salt, pepper, chives, and a drizzle of olive oil. 

My Husky used to dig carrots as well.  These are so huge it was a challenge to dig them.  I am sure it would drive a dog nuts to dig them as well .

Happy Lemon Festival!  Today in Italy is the Lemon Festival.  Don't have citrus trees up here but if I did not sure I would waste them on a citrus house. It is lovely though.

Rose, I found a place to get all the seasons of the good doctor really cheap! Now to load onto the ipod! I'd love to have the classic Tardis in my backyard!!!!

Good Afternoon. 

Seems like I always get here with nobody home. I see TEVYE up in the rafters, and I hope you are doing better and milking it for all it's worth!

I read back with all the projects everyone seems  to be having, and I am glad JSM is not eating another 7-11 sandwich for Labor Day, but having some Chinese food instead. We are going to try to grill hamburgers but I'm not sure the weather is going to co-operate. We may just cook them on the George Foreman in that case. We had a huge booming thunderstorm during the night, and woke everybody up. It's still pretty wet outside.

I just listened to O's Labor Day speech at the AFL-CIO down in Cincinnati. Now I am "fired up!" He was preaching to the choir with his audience and they were eating it up. He reminded me of Hugo Chavez or Fidel Castro banging the podium and "firing up" the crowd of supporters that were probably required to attend per their labor unions.

Well, anyhow, Happy Labor Day.   

Hey Fanny. Chinese food sounded good and I just didn't feel like getting in the car to get it so my mom brought it to me. I hope your cook out goes well. As far as O's speech. I didn't know he had one, but if it was the AFL CIO, he is preaching to the choir.

Kat - when my hubby was going through chemo he told his Dr. that he was ready for the smoking lecture.  Dr. told him he was not getting a lecture as he wanted hubby to deal with one issue at a time and the smoking one would be dealt with later after chemo was finished.

KatGram, I have asked my step dad the same question, why can't they put a person in a drug induced coma until the cravings for a ciggie goes away. He said it is too dangerous and too expensive. I think they do something like that for herion addicts to get them through the DTs.

You will quit smoking on your own time. Don't feel like a criminal. Like I told Tevye, my bff went through the big C and smoked. Hugs to you and Tevye.  JSM

Now that you have mentioned BLT's our grilled hamburgers don't sound so good. Maybe we will splurge today, and make bacon burgers with lettuce and tomatoes. What the heck, maybe cheese too.

 Just do whatever it takes for you to get through your treatments. If that means smoking, by all means, go ahead.

I agree, going to Walmart and K-Mart are an adventure in themselves. I have seen people sit on the benches at the front and just watch and gape at the scenery. I may have even be guilty of it myself.
