I knew about the licking your elbow. Only reason why is my friend's nephew told that to a CPS worker the other day. Just popped out of his mouth. CPS worker laughed hysterically.

no reason for you to be sorry JSM unless you sent the storm.  just to see so many suffering, death in the street, people starving and dying and to police being told to shoot on sight any looters...not that looters are good but...it was just a mess.  and to see the press able to get there but all the help being tied up in red tape..
hopefully as a country we have learned from it.

hopefully as a country we have learned from it.

I would think people would learn. Personally if I lived in that part of the South, I would have a bag packed with my skates, my passport, my debit card and my Josef. Screw the dog food. He can eat hamburgers on the drive north. Anyways, I am glad you were safe.

i would have gotten the heck out of dodge as well, however i remember when i was 5 or 6 living in texas city and Alisha hit...we had no way to leave and sat through the storm...(actually i slept through it) but my mom and step-dad had no way to leave.  i don't think anyone expected to dam to break (with Katrina) it was kind of a one-two punch to la.
