JSM I am taking off now and will check in later to see how Josef is doing.  I am thinking about you both  an angelic monkey
an angelic monkey Thank you Mission. He is panting like crazy, but I think the heat and the steroids are doing that to him. At least I hope that is the case.
The heat, and the steroid, and then his nerves, and the chirping fire alarm, all is causing him to pant  an angelic monkey Once he gets comfortable and rests he should be better. Is he still on the steroids?
Hi No Rose, we just went out and he is laying on the bed right now. The vet last night said the steroid should wear off in 24 hours. Poor baby is miserable. I am about to give him a benadryl.

SassyCat.

It was a fun day wasn't it?         Those songs bring back lots of memories.

And it made doing the 20 quarts of beans (kinda a small batch this year, my uncle the bachelor farmer knew better than I how tired it would make me) a heck of a lot more fun!! Now I totally need a nap!
What kind of beans? Pork and Beans?

JSM, don't you have some doggie downers? For the storms? Maybe he'd be more comfortable with HALF a storm dose. Good idea about the fire alarm, hell, I woulda just got the shotgun out and shot it, then went after the moron (probably a man) who installed it in such an inaccessable place.

I do hope he feels better, and you too. Must be about miller time, isn't it?
The beeping has stopped so that is all cool. Umbrella worked like a charm.  Monkey Devil! Yeah a man probably put it up there. I just gave him a benadryl because the doggie downers just about put him in the grave. I won't use them unless a tornado hits.

I think he is just jittery because of the steroids. That is how I get on them plus I could eat a mountian gorrilla I get so hungry. That's why I won't take them.

Sometimes the darn medicine they give you to help, turns out to just make more problems. Antibiotics, that is one, you know you need them, but they make you so sick, at least they do me. Beyadryl should just wear him out, and should help the itching, I always have that around when I get a mild case of hives and itching. At least he doesn't have to wear a cone to stop him from biting his feet.

Hi Joes Mama--I keep children's liquid cherry flavored benadryl for Charlie.  He just licks it out of a spoon.  No wrestling to the ground or anything.

I hope the benadryl will settle him down. He has a cone, all decorated with his name in sharpie markers. He had to wear that when he had an allergic reaction once before on the back of his legs. I wish I knew where it was, I think it is at school.

Don't feel bad about the vet thinking you are crazy, when my first child was born, I was nuts, I called the doctor almost everyday with something. She had baby acne, it is so ugly looking on a little baby, and I kept calling him, when is it going to go away? I said I'm afraid to bring her anywhere with all those pimples on her face, he told me put a paper bag over her head. Of course he was kidding, but since I was not thinking clearly I didn't realize it. After weeks and weeks of calling him with things, he nicely told me, that some mothers get very concerned and worried about everything with their first child, and that they have a name of a doctor that they give to new mothers to go talk to. In other words, you are nuts, and need to see a shrink

Wow I wish Josef would do that. I have to shove pills down his throat. He's about to get another one if he doesn't settle down soon.

Well that wasn't very nice of Dr Azzhole. I would rather a mother be concerned than a mother that doesn't care about their kid.

I am kinda crazy when it comes to him, he has been through so much so I freak out at the least little thing. I'm glad you monkeys understand.  an angelic monkey

Josef looked like a vacuum cleaner. I just found the cone, he will be wearing it once we get back from our next walk. I promised him we would go water the plants, that way he can bark from the balcony. BBL.  Monkey Devil!

I think all new moms are a little crazy.     an angelic monkey

Oh believe me I understand  When I take Zoe to the vet, I'm literally nuts inside with worry. My whole life is one big worry, I sure wish there was a magic pill to make one not worry. I freak out at almost everything
I understand. I worry about Joe like you do Zoe. I am glad she seems to be doing well now No Rose. My whole life is one big worry too. Luckily I don't have a husband that watches Olbermann and Chrissy Matthews.
Yes, but I will say he has slowed down on the news, much to my amazement. Like right now I'm alone until midnight, all I can think about what if something goes wrong, what if Zoe gets sick, it is easier when I have someone here with me, to talk me down off the ceiling  I would give anything to be laid back, but that is never going to happen. And if you are like me you worry about everything, everything that you can't even control, so I can't figure why I worry.
