I haven't been very Christian like at all today with some of the things I've been saying
I'm glad I haven't been the only one No Rose.

I guess Uncle Teddy's funeral mass will be televised for the world to see. I will watch it and be disgusted that they can say a proper Mass for a person that believed in abortion and left a woman to die in a car.

That's all I am saying because JSM doesn't want the ban button tonight.

Democratic U.S. Senator from Massachusetts, 1962-2009

A key player in the creation of Medicare in 1965

A major driving force behind the passage of the Immigration Reform Act of 1965

Escaped manslaughter charges for 1969 Chappaquiddick incident

In the 1980s, supported the Nuclear Weapons Freeze Campaign, a Soviet-sponsored initiative that would have frozen the USSR's military superiority in place

Secretly contacted the head of the Soviet KGB in 1983, in an effort to undermine the Reagan presidency

Described the 2003 U.S. war in Iraq as "a fraud"

Favored higher taxes for people in upper income brackets, but took many measures to minimize his own tax liability

Died on August 26, 2009

R.I. as much peace Edward ("Ted") Moore Kennedy as you can knowing that your timeline in the Mary Jo Kopechne death does not make sense to this day.
an angelic monkey Thanks Northern for posting this. I wanted to post all the accolades of Mr Kennedy, but I couldn't find any.

And I firmly believe Mary Jo Kopechne would be alive today if he had done something sooner instead of waiting to sober up. JMO JSM

I guess Ted Kennedy died a very unpleasant death and I certainly wouldn't wish that on him or anyone else.  I don't think his death, though, was as bad or painful as that of Mary Jo Kopechne. Ted Kennedy stood for just about everything I oppose. He was a drunkard, womanizer, cheater, cruel husband, and all around scoundrel IMO and I for one am happy he can cause no more mischief in the world. I too believe he could have saved Mary Jo Kopechne had he not been too drunk to think of anything except his own skin.  He tried to talk his cousin Joe Gargan into taking the rap for him, but the cousin who would do almost anything for him drew the line at that. Through a series of unusual circumstances I once had a conversation with a man who was a deputy sherif on the Vineyard at the time of the "Accident."  He said that LE had expert divers and swimmers to try to swim the body of water that Kennedy said he swam that night, and not one of them could do it because of the strong current.  He said that someone had gone over with a boat and taken Kennedy back to the Edgartown Inn after he had stumbled back to the house where the party was taking place.  I can't hope he rests in peace.  I believe God will determine what peace, if any, he gets.
Babybear, I don't think he had an unpleasant death, but that is just my opinion. He had healthcare better than any of us will ever have, so I don't think he had an unpleasant death.

I pray for his family and for his soul. But mostly I pray for Mary Jo Kopechne. an angelic monkey I still think he got away with murder. JMO JSM

I've never been a fan of Ted K.

But I am sad to learn of Dominick Dunne's death this evening.   I really liked watching his show on TruTV and have bought several of his CDs.    I was so excited to see him back making shows after being gone for awhile, fighting his bladder cancer.   Unfortunately, he lost his battle.   He was 83.

See y'all in the morning monkeys. Have a great evening. I gotta go and put the evil one to bed. Little sh*t that he is, bit me when before daycare, cuddled up to me when I picked him up.

JSM and Josef are going to watch OLD Eastenders episodes.  Monkey Devil!

I have no life, so after I run out of videos, I will burn the bootlegged copies on my computer to DVD.

Sleep well and have a good evening. Prayers for all. JSM  an angelic monkey

Have a great night everyone.  I had a rough day today, second guessing myself with this back to school deal.  Praying for some guidance.  an angelic monkey
Lovin, just DO IT! Heck, I'm over 50 and I'm doing 4 yrs worth of work in 18 months...and I'm sick even. If I can do it, any monkey can. As for the $...Stafford loans are the way to go if you can't get grant money. The sweetest part is this: if I die, I don't have to pay them off!! (little cancer humor there...I make it where I can  )

In between anxiety attacks all day  I just finished a rant. The association is giving everyone a special assessment on top of our monthly fees of 100.00 dollars, because so many people are being delinquent on their payments. So not only do they not do anything, we now have to pay more money for the creeps that aren't paying their share    I just took somemore xanax

How is that fair?   That would really piss me off.    If we don't pay our HOA dues, we get taken to court.   My neighbor doesn't get in trouble - just me.
I hope your daughter is doing better.

I know how you feel.  I was like that and let myself go.  It was just as hubby was walking in the door with McD's for dinner and they had gotten our order wrong yet AGAIN.  I snapped.  I threw my burger on the kitchen floor, the fries out on the deck and went nuts.  It felt so good and at first the kids were scared but we turned it into a food fight and were all sitting on the floor hysterically laughing (me laughing and crying) as the dog thought he was in heaven and we had nothing left to throw .  Best release I have ever had.

As the Dixie Chicks say, some days ya gotta dance, gotta dance when you get the chance. Sounds like there was some great dancing at your house tonight! And it sounds like it helped.

Now, are you all set for curling?

Thank-you she was given antibiotics. I could just scream with this special assessment, and for what, nothing.

Northern, are you still looking for kale recipes? I found a very simple one for kale chips and I thought of you! BTW, you got a quickie for pork cubes?

Gizzie yes I am!  Pork cubes if boneless turn them into dry ribs:

In a large ziplock bag put:
2 cups Kellogs Cornflake crumbs
1/4 cup flour
6-8 TBSP garlic salt

Soak cubes in milk while deep fryer is getting up to temp. Put as much as you can deep fry at once in bag and shake to coat.  Deep fry till golden brown (5 -7 mins depending on size of cubes).  Repeat.  Freeze well if you have any left over.

If not boneless I have a sweet and sour recipe that works well.

Oh Northern, I just saw this! Thank you! This, I can do, lol! Did you want the one for the kale chips? I'll have to find it quick.

Oh yea, they are boneless. They were put in my bag at checkout last week by mistake. I guess the person before me forgot them. The store told me to keep them. I never buy chops w/ out the bone, and I was clueless what to do with them, so, thank you again!

Cut the pork into cubes and you are good to go!  Yes, I would love the Kale recipe.

That incident was a few years back and it really helped.  I slept real good that night too if I remember correctly.  I also had a melt down with spaghetti .  Wonder why all my meltdowns involve food?  Not sure what it was about but one of the kids put me over the edge when they said the spaghetti I had mad was not cooked and I took some and flung it against the wall and it stuck!  So then we all took turns flinging it against different walls.  Again, the kids loved it once they got over the shock factor of what Mom had just done and still remember it as we were cracking up after and saw we now had what looked like an Escher painting on all the walls.  I told them after I needed to wash the walls anyways.

Always ready for curling!!  HURRRY ........HURRRRYYYYYY!

Laptop fire blamed for Vancouver death
An overheated laptop computer left on a couch caused a fire that killed a 56-year-old Vancouver man, the Coroners Service of British Columbia has concluded.

The fire took place six months ago, but the victim's name has not been released.

The fire started after the computer was left on a couch, plugged in and turned on. Because of the lack of ventilation under the laptop, less than an hour later the lithium-ion battery overheated and burst into flames, sparking the fire that eventually killed the man.

The coroner did not release the make of computer involved in the death, but did say several makes of laptops have been recalled in recent years due to problems with lithium-ion batteries overheating and bursting into flames.

Since 2004 in B.C., four other laptops have either overheated or short-circuited when left plugged in, causing fires. The death earlier this year, however, was the first in B.C. blamed on a laptop fire, the coroner said in statement issued Wednesday morning.

And there have been 15 other fires caused by short-circuiting or overheating in such equipment as personal computers, DVD players, and cellphone chargers.

OK.  This recipe was origionally for chicken wings.   I follow the first part, then put the wings (cut at the joint so you have the drummettes and the tips separate) in a  crock pot and pour the rest over and let crock on low.

For S & S pork, again, cut into strips or cubes first.

Beat one egg and put in a bowl.  Put 1 cup flour in another bowl.  Put pork into egg then flour.  Brown in a large skilet.

While browning mix 1 cup sugar, 3 tsp water, 3 tsp soya sauce, 1/2 cup vinegar, 1 tsp ginger, 1/2 tsp salt.   Pour over pork and simmer for 15-20 min depending on size of pork.  Sprinkle with sesame seeds if you like when serving.
