I don't watch "Bones" but not because I don't like it, just never watched it.  I think I'll rent the entire seasons when winter comes and watch it all.  I have limited TV time.

The top-selling Bible in North America will undergo its first revision in 25 years, promising to reopen a contentious debate about changing gender terms in the sacred text.

The New International Version, the Bible of choice for conservative evangelicals, will be revised to reflect changes in English usage and advances in Biblical scholarship, it was announced Tuesday. The revision is scheduled to be completed late next year and published in 2011.

But past attempts to remake the NIV for contemporary audiences in different editions have been plagued by controversies about gender language that have pitted theological conservatives against each other.

The changes did not make all men “people” or remove male references to God, but instead involved dropping gender-specific terms when translators judged that the original text didn't intend it. So in some verses, references to “sons of God” became “children of God,” for example.

I have never heard of this guy Nick Cannon, but I found this video on a blog. It is very touching, watch it to the end. It will make you cry.

Stay cool.  I try to read there but it is too hard to follow. I have my opinions that I just keep to myself.  I do pray every day that she is found though.  I think I'm going to sit out on the patio and see if I can spot the turkeys, smoke a ciggie and get some Vitamin D.

My dad was stationed down there in the Army and my mom goes on & on about how wonderful it was.  That was 1956, I'm sure it has changed slightly.

Ft Bliss in El Paso.  I have to laugh at the fact that my mom had never seen anyone that wasn't a WASP.  She tells the funniest stories of working at the bank and being the only one who didn't speak Spanish.  Driving from OH to TX without any interstates.  It was a culture shock for sure.

      Before I left for a walk they were showing our lovely govenor  having breakfast with some of the fireman. He went on and on what a fireman does, like a 5 year old knows what a fireman does, for gosh sakes. Arnie is such a dumb f ::MonkeyMad::k               Ka li fornia
