I'll get stoned to death ( with rocks, no less ) if there's a teacher around, but I totally disagree with homework for elementary kids at all. I used to teach and I'm a Mom. There's PLENTY of time during the day to teach whatever you need to during the day. Kids should be able to COME HOME and leave school behind them, IMO.

The research supports you, CBB!

Hi Monks.....busy day at my house. Checking in to see if MT has posted results of her doctor's appointment today! Not yet......will keep checking back.

I am a Honorary Grandmother!!  WOOHOO  The young couple who live next to us just had a baby boy...he is beautiful...black hair and piercing blue eyes. They have no family here so we kinda adopted them and they, us. We feel like new grandparents for real!!

That's fantastic news, Sunny!        Congratulations to all of you.   an angelic monkey

thanks...I am so excited he is here........how is you little Anna? You need to post a picture. I will post one of Anel as soon as I can.

   Sunny.   You're so funny.

Here is little Anna, my first grand daughter.   She was born August 16.

Oh my, Sassy!  She is breath taking!

Did Christine think Levi was coming to the party at the farm but then he just never showed up?

Which one?

Oh and Mytime I just want to say how happy I am that you are feeling better and grovin to Britney Spearrs.

Might mention though that while you were at the concert I was nursing my tooth that got yanked.     No, no don't feel bad I have a few more left.  And besides Dr. Chris is very good with his hands.

Are you feeling better?

What were you doing while he was playing in your mouth, besides talking?

Bud's Girl

If you happen to stop in here tonight, I just want to thank you for what you posted in Haleigh's thread. It has been bothering me too, and I am so glad you had the nerve to say something.  Hugs

Green Eyes

I see you in the Rafters ......... How is life treating you? How are your Grand babies? School started yet?

Hi Deenie,

How are you doing? I am fine, busy but fine. Grand kids are almost though with their second week of school. All I can say is I don't like homwork time any better with GC than my own. They have been doing pretty good. But the youngest boy has a had time focusing so we take forever to get it done.   But we get it finished.

Please have him tested.

GE I know you have to be busy...

I know when you finish the quilt it will be FAB for sure ...........
your Grand Daughter will love it most because it was hand made by You.
I have two quilts "crib size" that my Grandma *( now passed on)  hand made for my Daughter
( they are packed away)
One of kind both of them - she can and will have them when she is ready Smile
I think quilts are just amazing. I rather have quilts myself than fancy comforters ... etc.

Me too!

Bearly we have had him tested. He has ADHD. Getting him a doctor and maybe counseling here. Have to wait for insurance to start here. Which is the first of Oct.  Have tried keeping him away from sugar and giving him high protein snacks. That was from our BG. He really does bounce off the walls. We are getting there. Thank you for caring. God Bless

Deenie, Ty for posting that. When I went for therapy, the Social worker and I got into a discussion about some of the same things. And I am paying attention to this stuff more for the past 7  to 8 weeks.
//
CONGRATULATIONS ON THE NEW GRANDDAUGHTER TO MS SASSYCAT.
Well Miss Sassy has a new baby Anna. I love babies. Their smell, their toes and the little fingers are precious. Thank God for digital cameras and the technology to transmit to Grandmothers the pictures. I live close to my happy girls and I take hundreds of pictures. I put them on the computer, memory sticks and I get CD's burned all the time to share. I've had a few hard drive failures over the years so I always have everything in more than one place.

Thanks Kat_Gram.    an angelic monkey    I love the way babies smell, too.

I do the same thing Kat - I have pictures saved on CDs, memory sticks and everywhere.    Put the memory sticks in a safe deposit box.    I even scanned a lot of my kids baby pictures and their old school pictures so I would have a back-up copy.   I had a friend who was in the middle of a military move, and all their belongings were destroyed in the process.   All their children's pictures, wedding pictures, everything.    They had to write all their friends and ask if they had any pictures of their kids because they had lost them all.  I'll never forget how sad I felt for them.

I'm glad you're doing so well.   Still have you in my prayers.     an angelic monkey
