Increase illegal drug flights’

26 Sep, 2009, 09:29 (GMT -04:00)

Email dit artikel
Print dit artikel

WILLEMSTAD — The coastguard observes an increase of the drug smuggling from Venezuela to the Dominican Republic and the Republic of Haiti via illegal drug flights, amongst others through the airspace above the territory of the Netherlands Antilles, and Aruba.

The aforementioned was stated in the Long Term Planning (LTP) 2009-2018. In addition, an increased use of the coastal zones within the territorial waters as drug routes is observed and the combination of drug smuggling and illegal immigration.

The maritime drug combating therefore remains an important area for attention during the coming years for the coastguard in the direct surroundings of the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba as well as in a wider ranged area.

There is a noticeable shift in the quantity of drugs per transport and in the method of transport. However, the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba remain vulnerable with abatement for the affects of the drug smuggling in the Caribbean region in part due to their geographical position. The estimated production of cocaine is (reasonably) stable. The demand in the United States is reasonably steady. The demand for drugs in Europe has increased. In this, Europe remains an attractive market for drug smugglers and the maritime route via the Caribbean region therefore remains a potential transit option.

Due to the good connections to the United States and Europe, the Antilles and Aruba remain a popular destination for illegal immigrants. The main reasons for these illegal persons, is the search for a better future. This could involve criminality. The number of illegal persons in the Netherlands Antilles amounts to roughly 48,300 according to the United Nations.

The illegal immigration often has an interface with criminal activities. On the one hand, because illegal persons are comparatively more often involved with criminality, and on the other hand, because the illegal immigration could be linked to human smuggling and human trade.

It is conceivable that because of the further increasing welfare development in the Antilles and on Aruba, and because of the political changes (and the attendant social improvements) an increased attraction could arise for Saba, St. Eustatius, and Bonaire in particular, according to the LTP 2009-2018.

I want every body to know that Dave still wants the water search to continue. Their are over 170 targets that have to be looked at.

Debbie (BFN) implied the same on this forum almost one year later.

On Friday September 25th a 150 person search team consisting of Curacao Police Department, Dutch Coastguard, US Navy helicopter crew, and CITRO (Curacao Citizen Rescue Organization) searched for a missing person: James Hogan who's the Vice Consul of the United States Consulate General Curacao.

According to report in the local newspapers a domestic dispute caused Hogan to leave his home on Thursday afternoon on September 24th. The next day his clothing and shoes were found in a remote wilderness spot near Caracas Bay and Hogan was nowhere in sight. Immediately the local authorities were notified and a search was started. The Dutch coastguard searched on sea, the local police department searched by land, a US Navy helicopter search by air, and the CITRO assisted by exploring the coastal areas and mangrove forests. A scubateam explored the reefs and underwater grottos at Caracas Bay in Curacao.

On Saturday and Sunday the search continued with the help of US Marines that are stationed in Curacao.

James Hogas was last seen wearing jeans and a blue polo shirt. Hogan is a 1.84 meters tall caucasion, slightly overweight, with straight red hair, and blue green eyes.

At 6 pm on Sunday September 27 I inquired at the local police department with little positive news, so that thus far the whereabouts of US Vice Consul James Hogan is still uncertain.

First of all, you need to get your story straight before you post it.  I am the oldest daughter of James Hogan.  There was no domestic dispute.  My Dad and my mom have been married for 24 years and he has never once taken off after a fight.  The lead the police have down there right now is that a woman who was fired from the office where my Dad works has criminal connections.  Second of all, my mom hasn't heard ANYTHING about his clothes being found, or anything that might indicate anything positive.  The local police insist she had something to do with his disappearance, and refuse to investigate the woman who was fired further.  My family is going through enough without you printing bs stories!

After a domestic dispute, sounds like he decided to disappear forever in the sea, to me. Left his clothes as a message he had done it.

Body recovered in Amsterdam canal

Amsterdam – Divers from the Amsterdam fire brigade recovered a body from one of the city canals on Tuesday, reports nu.nl.

A passer-by has spotted the body while walking along a canal near Postjeskade in Amsterdam west.

Police have yet to determine to identify the body although Amsterdam local TV station, AT5, reports it was the body of a male.

Dozens of bodies are fished out of the Amsterdam canals yearly due to people falling into the water and drowning.

It is believed someone may have fallen from a boat and drowned in this case.

Local authorities will perform an autopsy on the body on Wednesday to determine the cause of his death.

This is where I believe we'll see Joran's name one day.  He'll cross the wrong person and end up like this....

Record Number of Pros Confirmed for UltimateBet's Aruba Poker Classic
18 of the World's Top Poker Players Have Confirmed Their Seat in the Aruba Poker Classic Online Poker Tournament

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwire - September 29, 2009) - With just days before the first hand of the 2009 Aruba Poker Classic is dealt, UltimateBet today announced that a record number of poker professionals will be playing in this year's Main Event in Aruba. In addition to the 16 pros who represent UltimateBet on Team UB, the popular island tournament continues to attract pros from outside of UltimateBet.

"This is one of my all-time favorite poker tournaments," said Annie Duke, UltimateBet's Cardroom Consultant and member of Team UB. "While the UB community is famous for gathering together at all sorts of other poker tournaments like the WSOP, Aruba is all about celebrating the successes of UltimateBet's online poker players. I can't wait to meet the people I play against online, party with old friends on the beach and make some new ones."

Over the last year, UltimateBet has secured some of the world's most respected poker players for its popular Team UB. To date, the group of online poker pros made up of those who have achieved incredible success online and in land-based events has skyrocketed to 16. Each member of the group has confirmed their attendance in the 2009 Aruba Poker Classic.

Slated to play are Phil Hellmuth, Annie Duke, Joe Sebok, Adam Levy, Billy Kopp, Bryan Devonshire, Brandon Cantu, Debo34, Hollywood Dave, Liv Boeree, Matt Graham, Michael Binger, P0ker H0, Scott Ian, Shawn Rice and Tiffany Michelle.

Also confirmed to play in the event are professional poker players Lacey Jones and Matt Vengrin, who both play on the CEREUS Poker Network. While the expanded list of pros from outside of the CEREUS Poker Network hasn't been reported, the Aruba Poker Classic has attracted some big name poker players in past years, including Mike Matusow, Evelyn Ng, and Johan Storakers.

The Aruba Poker Classic, UltimateBet's signature island poker tournament, heads into its 8th year at the Radisson Aruba Resort & Casino. The weeklong poker experience runs from October 3rd through 10th and features a multi-million dollar prize pool.

Last year's Main Event was won by Matt Brady of Havertown, PA, who took home $1 million for his victory. It's rumored that the poker champion will show up to defend his title.

Players can still secure a $5,500 seat through an online satellite or buy directly into the event right up until the first hand is dealt. For more information on the 2009 Aruba Poker Classic, visit UltimateBet.com.

QUESTION TWO

Why would a father who embarked on a joint mission to replace the Aruban investigative team ...  why would a father who authored a book entitled CORRUPTION IN PARADISE ...

1.  Continue a relationship with the person who afforded the Aruban  enemy unchallenged possession of what could have been his daugher's remains?

2.  Take the word of the Aruban enemy who has prevented justice for his daughter from prevailing since May 30, 2005 that the contents of the cage was not case related?

... After Tim Miller told Dave that we found her in a trap with 99.9% certainty (this is pre-diver inspection), Dave very reasonably requested them (screen shots) from me.  I badly wanted to send them to him, but couldn't.  Apparently, shortly therafter the FBI send the screen shots to Dave anyway, and therefore Robin had them.

The important thing is to raise funds. It will require corporate support as well as private donations. Dave and Beth have been doing a great job getting the word out and while I was on the island, Dave put me in contact with the head of the Hotel Association who is working on raising a sizeable amount.  So many on the island are supporting our efforts as well as people from all over the world. The media really blew the cage out of proportion. Although the cage initially provided some moments of "what is in there", I warned all on board that none of this information was to leave the boat. It was very suspect that a cage of this size was found where it was on the seafloor relative to the coast. My feelings were this was highly unusual and probably had something to do with something, but not what we were after. It was decided that the cage would be investigated further by divers, however, it was designated as only a target of interest. The crew moved onto other targets. Unfortunately, inexperience and frustration led to premature statements, including that we had found her I don't think anyone was more upset than I that this information came off the boat and caused the Holloway family more grief!

Kyle Kingman - In His Own Words

Kyle Kingman:
The Persistence had no divers on the 7th. Tim Trahan was our diver on the 30th-Dec, but he was out of the country at the time. The Aruban divers were on the police boat, dove from their boat, and returned to their boat.

Kyle Kingman:  John is not a believer in the trap. He took ALE's word as gospel that it wasn't case related, yet never studied the videos or bothered to inquire further.

I haven't read anything of his whereabouts lately, but like I've said before and I'll say again....I hope where ever his is, he is constantly looking over his shoulder.

I can't read Dave Holloway's mind. I only know that his wife believed whatever Debbie told her.
And BOTH of those women's connections have been with Reality and Mark Purcell etc. for a long time.  I know, by evidence, that Mark Purcell was involved with RV (Caps) and Caps created the pond hoax with his buddies.

As you can see from the email from John Silvetti he was more involved then people were aware and created lies (as I pointed out).  His crew members and the man paying John Silvetti were involved in trying to sell ROV images to make money. As we can clearly see from following Louis Schaefer's business deals/stock market/selling off his shares of stocks that he likes to profit and leaves others holding the bag more then once. There is a trail of duping people if ya ask me. Same with Kyle Kingman. He showed he was more then willing to lie soon as the truth was getting exposed about that trap/cage and what John Silvetti and his crew were up too.

IF they were honest people really dedicated to finding Natalee; truth is, they would have been on the phone to the FBI soon as they saw the Aruban's diving and retrieving evidence and call DATELINE and expose what happened. INSTEAD we see them attempt to involve themselves in the corruption KNOWING it didn't add up, knowing there were big holes in that story too! And they do not sweep the site or find a way to sweep the site once they see what the Aruban's did. They just go off on a cockamamie POND HOAX chase. In addition, you have them trying to make money off of the ROV images from THAT TARGET. NOT from other targets. NOPE.

Look at the date they found THAT target and compare it to the date they left Aruba from running out of funds. What do you think they were doing from Jan. 7th until March 1? We know Kyle was back home during the week of Valentines trying to sell the ROV images.

IF there is nothing in the trap - one has to ask themselves what was so significant that one tried to make money off of it? Me thinks Natalee was in that grave.

Me also thinks the family members have trusted the wrong people in my humble opinion.
This is just my own personal insights, from what I have seen/involved with since 2005 and that is the family members are very, very sweet nice people who have been up against insurmountable odds. They've listened to and trusted people they should never have, but I think they did it because they didn't know what we all knew. They do not read the boards. I think Beth rarely reads the front page of SM, but other then that, they don't know who is doing what to whom AND when Robin was told about Mark Purcell's posts and Reality's she thought it was not them, but someone else posting that. When Beth was told about things Robin was posting at BFN, she thought it could not be the real Robin Holloway.  I wonder how much that Pond Search costs and if Aruba is going to prosecute the Aruban individuals who got Dave to spend all that money searching/draining a pond where nothing but some doo-rag was found - eh?

Like I said, the family trusts the wrong people.
