Bastrop (KXAN) - A Bastrop County man will spend the rest of his life in prison for the beating death of his girlfriend's toddler son.

A jury found Christopher Murray guilty of capital murder in the death of 2-year-old Robbie Faske back in June 2007.

Investigators say Murray staged a car accident to cover up the child's injuries. The boy suffered a fractured skull and a lacerated liver.

Murray will not be eligible for parole.
