I checked at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation site, and Keith Allen Rocheleau is still not listed as a missing person:

The GBI is now helping local law enforcement investigate an unsolved missing person case.

47-year-old Keith Rocheleau went missing more than a month ago and now the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has teamed up with the Brooks County Sheriff's Office to continue the search.

Rocheleau disappeared from his parents' home off Cooey Road in Brooks County August 4. Since then, authorities and volunteers have conducted both air and ground searches near the property, but have found nothing.

If you have any information, call investigators at 229-263-7558.

This is the last news item I can find, and I checked the GBI website and Mr. Rocheleau is still not listed there as "missing".

Son of Missing Valdosta Man: "We Want Closure"

3:48 PM Sep 30, 2009
Reporter: Kim Carapucci
Email Address: kim.carapucci@wctv.tv

It's been nearly two months since a Valdosta man went missing and his family is still searching for answers.

47-year-old Keith Rocheleau disappeared from his parents' home off Cooey Road in Brooks County August 4th.

Since then, authorities conducted multiple searches near the property, but came up empty handed.

Now, his family is left with more questions than answers, hoping every day there's a break in the case.

"Now we just really want closure and if anybody knows anything, we still want them to come forward, even if it's completely anonymous.. My family needs to know what happened to my dad, said Lucas Rocheleau, son of Keith Rocheleau.

If you have any information regarding Keith Rocheleau's disappearance, contact investigators at 229-225-4090.

LATEST UPDATE INFORMATION 10/15/2009: GBI did a very extensive search with cadaver dogs yesterday.....but, found nothing. They say when the frost kills all the vegetation they will come back and search again with the dogs as well as helicopter. We didn't think they were doing anything at all SOOOOOOOOOO we are still so hopeful that something will turn up or someone will come forward.

There doesn't seem to be any new developments or releases for over a month in Mr. Rocheleau's case.  This must be so very hard for his family and friends.  I'm hoping the new search that would take place after the frost kills the vegetation will yield some results and give closure, as his son Lucas asked.  I can't begin to imagine how difficult it is for Keith Rocheleau's family  not to  know what's happened to him.

What Happened to Keith Rocheleau?

Family still waits word on man missing since 2009

Dean Poling The Valdosta Daily Times

VALDOSTA — John Rocheleau daily travels the region where his son, Keith Rocheleau, disappeared nearly two years ago.

He drives his missing son’s red 1995 Dodge Dakota along the Brooks County road where his son left the vehicle parked outside his parents’ residence.

John Rocheleau walks past the place where his gold 1997 Ford F-150 pickup truck was discovered stuck in a ditch at the time of his son’s disappearance.

He walks along the Withlacoochee River where he believes someone dumped his son’s body in early August 2009.

“I don’t believe in closure,” John Rocheleau says. “But my wife and I would like to know what happened to Keith. We will never recover from the pain of losing him. We will never forget losing a son, but we want to know what happened to him.”

snipped and much more..................

HELP FIND KEITH ALLEN ROCHELEAU

Susan Stewart Keene
Hi everyone....I know there hasn't been much activity on this page. But, to update you all.... Keith has not been found and, in fact, authorities have QUIT working on his case and it has become a cold case. Anyone that would contact the Brooks County Sheriff's Office as well as the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and ask that they please reopen and re-explore possibilities of the disappearance. We, his family, so desperately need answers and closure....whatever it may be. His Mom and Dad are elderly and it is their dying wish to have the answers. Thanks and please help me get the word out there again.
