Sounds from this that Tim Miller will  be called as a witness, but may not have to turn over personal info on searchers, if I am reading this right.

That's my take, Fanny. Strickland hasn't decided about the searchers yet.

Fanny Mae, Hi---Do you think things in courtrooms have changed everywhere, or is it just this court at this time with these people?  Despite what the trial lawyers think about Strickland, I am beginning to wonder why he doesn't demand the proper decorum in his courtroom.  The only thing I have ever seen him do to uphold the dignity of the Court was early on during one of the bail hearings where he had the bailiff hand Cindy a tissue to remove her gum.  I should think that prior to entering the courtroom, at the time  they have some sort of security check, they would be told to remove gum, leave the water bottle outside, and maintain some sort of proper behaviour in the courtroom.  I know that Florida is more casual than some other parts of the country, but surely the Anthonys behaviour in the courtroom would be unacceptable before other judges in Orlando.  I am puzzled and not a little bit disgusted about why they are not called on it.

I can only answer your question about my own experience, which was rather extensive when I lived in Alabama and worked with LE. Many times we were required in court for cases, and I often occompanied my LE husband when it was required for him to go. There was a certain decorum that was expected once you entered into a courtroom. Certainly no gum chewing, tobacaco chewing or snuff, shirts were required and not tank tops, or tube top and shorts. Gaudy jewelry and t-shirts with slogans were out. I have seen people sent home to get dressed in decent clothing and have a deadline to be bak that day. Neat jeans were acceptable as long as they were not raggetly at the knees or the bottoms. Shoes were a must. The bailiff reminded the subjects before the bench by the bailiff to stand up straight and not sloch, and look directly at the judge and speak in an audible voice. I have heard a bailiff remind someone several times to stand up straight.

If the LE were there in an official capacity, they were expected to show up with shined shoes, creases in their pants, and shirts, and clean shaven, even if they had just finsished a midnight shilft at 7am.

I have noticed several times that Spindy sneaks her bottles inside her purse when she goes in. After she is seated she pulls them out. A bailiff should come along and remove it, along with the gum she is knawing on.

All of this sets the decorum for a courtroom. I have NEVER in my life seen a lawyer stroll into court with a Patron shirt on or even in shirt sleeves and no tie. Every lawyer I have know may have his jacket slung over his shoulder going in to the building, but had always put it on by the time he walked into the judges courtroom, no matter what the weather.

Yes, I think Florida is a lot more lax with courtroom decorum. It filters down. It filters down to George saying "I object!" And getting away with it. I have seen judges rip up side and down the other for much less than that infraction. A judge that had a tight hold on his court keeps people in line. Spindy hopping up and interrupting the court would have been surrounded by bailiff's and drug off for interrupting. Swigging from the bottle would have gotten it taken away from her, the first time it came out.

I know Florida is a lot laid back about a lot of things, and I think the court is just accomodating those feelings, all to the detriment. People feel they are in Florida, and they should wear the skimpiest things they can find. We see it at each hearing. And we see the rules of courtroom behavior go steadily downhill.

The bickering and face making and head shaking by the lawyers would never have be tolerated where I was from. The judge would be roaring like a blast furnace, and no on within earshot would have any doublts about how things where going in his courtroom. Just my experience.

Thanks for answering.  That's about what I thought.  I am losing respect daily for Strickland.  He should really put his house in order, starting with the Anthonys. When he allows this kind of behaviour and it is shown acceptable to him on national TV, it doesn't make him, the judiciary, or Florida look very good to the rest of the country, IMO.  I know that I am from a different generation, but good manners are good manners, whatever.

I have observed straight-laced fully tenured male professors at a major university medical school escorted out of the courtroom by gaurds, on order of the judge for unacceptable behavior.

I think because these are hearings and not the actual trial that Stan is letting things go that will not be acceptable when this goes to trial.  I think that Spindy will be relieved of her water bottles and gum before she even enters the courtroom.  I am surprised they aren't taking them away from her at the checkpoints they go through , but then I am not an Anthony.

I know at one point months ago Stan admonished the atorneys on both sides for their bickering..but nothing else since.  Maybe he doesn't want to waste the courts time or his trying to make the A's into civilized people.

Anthony's Defense Gets Access To Searcher Data
Defense Says Remains Were Placed In Woods While Anthony Jailed
POSTED: 11:58 am EDT August 27, 2009
UPDATED: 12:22 pm EDT August 27, 2009

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony's defense team will have access to the records of 32 searchers who looked within a couple hundred yards of where Caylee Anthony's remains were found.

Judge Stan Strickland made the ruling on Thursday morning. Casey Anthony is currently in the Orange County Jail charged with murder in the death of her daughter.

Anthony's defense is expected to use this new information to try to support their theory that Caylee's remains were put in the woods along Suburban Drive after Anthony was jailed by finding volunteers who will say they looked in the area and did not see anything. The remains were found in December.

The head of Texas Equusearch Tim Miller has said that the area where the remains were found was underwater in November and his team did not look in that area. Prosecutors also have testimony from the man who found Caylee's remains, Roy Kronk, who said he saw the same bag containing the remains back in August. Finally, prosecutors also have testimony from a botanist who said that based on plant growth in and around the remains, they'd been there at least four months.

Way to go Stan! I hope most of them have moved with no forwarding addy, and no listed number. They will now be investigated from can to can't by the defense team. I hope there is no skeletons in their closets, cause they are fixing to come out. 32 more people slimed by the Anthony evil.

UPDATED: Man Wrote Letter Offering Reward For "Zanny"
Posted: 11:41 am EDT August 27, 2009

Eyewitness News obtained a letter Thursday submitted as evidence in the case against Casey Anthony from a man offering a reward for "zanny the nanny" to come forward.

Steven Perry Sr. of Gold Canyon, Arizona appears to have faxed the letter on November 28, 2008, but it wasn't entered into evidence with the Clerk of Courts until August 24, 2009.

In the brief letter Perry writes, "if the real zanny the nanny will come forward and present herself to nancy grace or hlns mike galanos, I will pay you 1 million dollars for coming forward, no questions asked."

Eyewitness News is working to learn more about who Perry is.

Hi, Monkalicious--I think they are evilly stupid.  (I don't know if evilly is a word, but I like it!) What is beyond my comprehension is that they think they could attract teenage runaway girls.  There are so many legal requirements to be met for such an enterprise and I think the Dennis Milstead's felony  record would prevent their having any contact with runaways.  And it seemed that they planned to give them a safe house or something like that, but I think the law requires that LE notify parents if underage runaways are found. I guess they've dropped the plan since it is gone from their site.  Back to chasing people with phoney lights on top of their car until they think of some other scam, IMO.

I like the word evilly too. Although I think the group is crazy like a fox. They have probably only put this scheme on a back burner till the heat dies down on them again. They will probably appoint some head of the whole thing among some of their hanger-on who has no felonlys, maybe even Spindy. She is a RN on top of it. As far as I know, she is clean as a whistle in that regard, and she knows AAAALLL
about wayward teenage girls.

When it comes to wayward teenage girls, Cindy is a carrier!

Before the discovery, thousands of volunteers with Texas EquuSearch scoured various areas of the county for the missing girl in August 2008 and November. Casey Anthony's defense team requested information on all the volunteers. Orange Circuit Court Judge Stan Strickland ordered the information on 32 searchers -- who were within several hundred yards of where Caylee was found -- to be released to the defense and prosecutors.

Tim Miller, the EquuSearch's founder, has said the volunteers didn't search the specific area where the toddler's remains were discovered because it was underwater in August and November.

The defense team will have to pay for Miller to travel to Orlando to be questioned for the case. A date has not been set yet.

Strickland also said that prosecutors and Casey Anthony's attorneys may review other EquuSearch volunteers' information at the Orlando office of Miller's attorney, Mark NeJame.

If more searchers are indentified that were in the area, the issue can be brought to Strickland's attention and he will decide if the details should be disclosed.

I haven't read over on the Fox Blog in a while, but there was a man who called himself "Old Man Perry" and said he lived in Az. and blogged there for quite a while. IIRC he spoke in sort of riddles and such but said he had quite a bit of money. Just what I recall.

I'm not happy with Judge Strickland's ruling but I can understand the reasoning behind it. What I can't understand is Baez and his team of ghouls riding roughshod over any and everyone. TES provides a much needed service for our most helpless victims and I'm worried that this ruling may make people think twice before they volunteer to help search for the missing.  Those people have no shame, much less an ounce of integrity.

Those people, I feel sorry for them. To go out and do something good on a volunteer basis and be drug into this mess. Now these people, if smart, will get a lawyer!!
