I'm going to a corn maze and haunted house or two. This year, my son and girlfriend are going with us. He's SO skittish, and so am I. We'll just be there so everyone can satisfy their torture fetishes........

I just found a corn maze last year - didn't do it though. I bet it would be fun with a huge group and a few cocktails.

, is quilting an easy thing to learn? I mean, I'm not really into sewing, but I can if I had to. But, is it pretty basic, like with the patches and stuff?
I've been wanting to start one for my daughter made from pictures, and I have no clue, never read a pattern, or anything...

Gizzie - do you dry your own flowers?
Only the ones my kids give me! I just go to craft stores. I don't like waiting
Much easier too! I once tried making my own paper after going to the fair. They made it look so easy.
That is one project that ened up in the trash.

I hate it when people make stuff look so easy and you go out and get all the items to do a project and kaput - there it goes.......in the trash can.

Fairs make everything look easy! Our town fairs are starting tomorrow, and it's supposed to rain all week. David Cook, Trace Adkins, Sugartowne is going to be there too. I wanna go

Well, that's how we do it!
2 years ago, I laughed so hard I was afraid I wouldn't make it to the little girls room!
One of the "spooks" was a teen age girl, and obviously a newbie. She had her timing off, and sprang out at a turn too soon. She burst through with hands raised and crouched down and let out one little sound before she saw us too far away. She immediately straightened up, put her hands over her mouth and timidly muttered, "oh" before sulking away into the corn again!

It's not hard if you stick to simple lines. Like squares. I found the trick is in the cutting so all the pieces are the same size. The hard part is after you get all sewn together and do the quilting part. The rolling it tube and holding the tension on it. Start with a small one first. I can't follow directions very well so I just kind of did it on my own. If I can do it you can. A little bit at a time. Jackie inspired me to do mine.

Bedtime is close for me too. I'm going to do a thread run through and turn in.
Maybe I'll streak through!
You all have a great night and sleep well when you hit the hay!
