So, yeah, umm, I *do* have too much time on my hands this weekend.

I was thinking about a Halloween costume for Cyrus (140# white great dane) and started experimenting with food coloring as a 'paint' on the dog.

So the question of the day is....

Anybody know how to get food coloring out of dog fur?

CBB my Muse Mod who I adore - I need a Pumpkin or some leaves ..
I love my Michigan Football but I am so now into FALL.  My Trees are leaving leftovers all overs my yard and I am drinking Spice flavored coffee's .. and have a damn bright red Xmas tree that just arrived .. a few days ago ......... that I thought was to be burnt orange. 
My Cbb I tried to take a pic of my doggy today so you could make a Oct avatar of her .. lol it didnt work ..she moves to fast when she is in frolic mode.
Fall is most beautiful season because it is the only season that shows transition in weeks and is of Beautiful colors  my flavorite colors.

Hey Green Eyes, I love Halloween! I don't decorate much anymore, no one here but me to enjoy it, but I've been invited by my dil to go to their house this year for a party and pass out candy. Fall is my favorite season and imo doesn't last long enough

I don't know Brachiate. I have seen people do it. 

Dish soap and paper towels are not the answer 

And my finger painting skills are stuck at the 2nd grade level so he looks like a splotchy mess.  I guess he gets a full bath tomorrow.

Even the cats are laughing at him tonight

I know what you mean about trying to catch your furbaby "still" enough to snap a pic! If they're in a good mood, it's just not going to happen!

Why were you finger painting the dog?     

Weeeelllll, it starts like this....

The most common thing people ask me when they see Cyrus is "Does he have a saddle?".  And yesterday a friend of mine was cleaning their horse barn and found a child's pony saddle. And the pony saddle fits Cyrus. And Halloween is right around the corner. And just a regular pony seemed sorta dull, so I go the bright idea that I could make him a Carousel Pony. And the food-coloring finger-painting seemed like a good idea...

and, umm, yep, that's how I ended up with splotchy colored dog tonight.

OMG I am so laughing and needed it and its not at Cyrus's expense it is because I find it funny.
He is going to be tinted for a very long time Brach thats all I can say......

CBB if you can make me Monkey an Oct Monkey However you deem it - I like hats I wear them. I wear hats all the time.  But for the holiday I like witches hats .. JUST Please CBB no spiders .. Even though I am a funny monk with my tongue hanging out .. me no likey spiders.

Do you like your dog? Did the cats just need some entertainment?

There's a little corgi in my dog family named Rudy. He has litte stubby legs, and he really does get embarrassed easily. He HATES to be laughed at!

He got excited one morning and went bounding outside, ran over to a plant in the yard and lifted the wrong leg..................

I ROLLED!!!  Ohhhhh, he started growling and grumbling and wouldn't look at me!

I can't wait to get the cookies started on the halloween cookies. But will have to wait until Wed. or so we are back to a heat wave and the thought of turning on the oven just makes me hot.
