Hows everyone tonight? Got the stuff to bake & make some halloween cookies with grand son this week end.

I'm fine, GE! You're making cookies with the Grandson............... oh, you'll have a wonderful time! What all did you get?

Got Lady fingers, Nutter Butter cookies, almonds food coloring, some new cookie cutters. Plus Halloween color frosting and sprinkles. The chocolate patties in different colors for dripping the cookies in. Years ago I had the little molds to make the suckers with the melting chocolate patties. For the life of me I can't
 remember what they are really called.

  You're ready, GE!!

Did you get white chocolate for the Nutter Butter Ghosts to be dipped in?

I've seen those molds.............. they're flexible, right?

Yes I got white chocolate and green and they had black or very dark brown too.
The molds are plastic and after the candy sets up you just pop them right out.

Not trying to be Debby Downer in this thread but I had a HUGE wake-up call today...a lady that i've worked with for the past 10 years received a call that her 26 year old son commited suicide today. I am an emotional wreck.  How does this happen?  This was the "all american family".  She is the most caring, giving, do anything for anyone kind of person.  I've always admired her and her family.  And this kid was amazing...never in trouble, went to college and had the opportunity to work in chicago, washington d.c. and most recently boston...so successful.  His parents loved him more than anything.

I cant even begin to know what she is going through right now and i feel so helpless.  I can only pray that God gives her the strength to get through this.

And to top it all off, at work they have assigned me to cover for her while she is gone...i sat at her desk today and there were pics everywhere of him...i had to leave.  My heart is breaking for her!

But the wake-up call is this...enjoy everything while you have it...you may not always have it!  And the next time i bitch about not being able to afford this or that, or whine about the gas prices, I will think of her and know that I really dont have it that bad. 

Rest in peace sweet boy    

How awful, Leroy!  I will keep this family in my prayers.  Please let us know how they are doing.

I need some computer help! Is anyone here a technical person about such things?

I keep getting a message from "Windows Defender" that it needs to restart my computer and I'm afraid to do it! It looks like this:

CBB - if you read here try making sure you have the most current version of Windows Defender on your computer.  Could be they made some changes that are affecting you unless you download the upgrade.

I have found that every time there is an automatic upgrade to Windows I end up having some problem issues to deal with.

Thanks Klaas. It started when a window popped up and said Windows Defender had detected a problem and needed to upgrade and I said OK, but then it wanted to download a new IE version. The last time I went through a new IE version was a nightmare so I shut down the download. I don't know how to handle problems when they crop up like you do, so I never know what to do. I went ahead and restarted my computer and it seems to be OK now. I'll just go to windows defender and see if they have an upgrade.............. is that right? Thanks for the help, Klaas!

While I'm being helpless, does anyone have any idea why my tire pressure on all 4 tires suddenly is low? I got in my car to go to work and the guage that tells you when something's wrong said that my left rear tire had pressure at 25, then the other rear tire showed up on the diagram at 26. Less than a mile down the road, both front tires were on the little diagram at 25 and 26.   

I went on to work. I have no idea what tire pressure is suppose to be, but that diagram doesn't show up unless the car thinks something is wrong. Why on earth would all 4 tires do that at once?

I think it's a chocky alert.  It alerts when there is too much chocky in the driver's thighs!

  In 2000. Between SIL and myself we probable had about 50 molds.
