Is anyone else getting the vibe that the judge is going to postpone the civil until after the criminal?  I think he is leaning more toward the criminal taking precedence.

Sounds that way to me.

me too.

I guess because it's a death penalty case, the truth is not important.

There's one thing............... ZG's atty is asking Cindy and George to answer questions, not Casey, so I don't get how the case law screws up Casey's rights.

And Stan the Man already said the check fraud case could go forward.

If ZG's atty is asking for Casey to answer questions, then he can forget it. That's not going to happen, and by law, it shouldn't. To me, George and Cindy are another matter.

I had to step away, but the argument casey's attorney is making right now is strong.  And, it might be in the best interest of preservation of justice that he rule this case waits, IMHO.  Don't get me wrong - I want to have georgie and cindy to be compelled to talk and I want answers now - but long term, I want justice for Caylee and this case being tabled is a small price to pay, if that is how he rules.

Judge - meet rock and a hard place.  This is hard one.

He looks like the proverbial "used car salesman" to me. Or snake oil salesman.  Sorry, if any used car salesmen are here.

Did the lawyer just tell a fib?  There was no one in the questioning except the lawyers and the Ants.  I am liking that the Judge has dressed him down on this as that was a whopper.

None of us would want a decision that would get a guilty verdict overturned on appeal. You're right ANJ!

The judge is practically begging one of the to ask for a gag order.

Oh, this judge is driving me nuts. Now he's playing "Which Hand is the button in?"

If there's something the attys need to address, ASK THEM about it! Geez........

Exactly and that is why the judge is even leading what should have been done and argued (he is hinting at them) and he is actually doing the right thing, IMHO.  We don't want this case to destroy the criminal case.

georgie and cindy might have to wait for justice for Caylee.

Take Casey off the table and compel George and Cindy to answer all questions. That's Judge CBB's decision!

Both sides are grasping at straws - but, I think the judge has a basic premise of law he is disappointed that the attorney's have not addressed.  I also think he is definitely sending message to casey defense he failed her by not asking for gag order.

Mitnick needs to show his client was harmed in the media and continues to be harmed today.  That is his best shot, IMHO.  But like I have been saying - Sorry, ZG, but for Caylee's sake don't destroy a fair trial.
Again, not what we want (no instant gratification Sad  )  but, long term we will be smiling like a banana turned on it's side like a smile.
All, IMHO.
