Sorry,I posted a response to the Tag and Libby pool/house and somewhere my post is floating around lol

I now cannot find the original post but here is my response:

The house with the pool was the same house Lindsey swam at that Thursday and Friday. It is located at 3rd street/main street.
We have no confirmation that Lindsey actually stopped there on her way home from KaraK's that night.

Ok, thanks Karma!!

One more........

As she marked three months since her daughter vanished, Melissa Baum of McCleary got a disturbing letter from the state.

She was informed her ex-husband would no longer be required to pay child support for eleven year old Lindsey, because her child hadn't been home for three months.

"I still have to maintain a house for her, I still have to maintain a life for her. This is not a normal case. She is a child that has been abducted, she's missing." Baum said on Tuesday.

State child support spokesman Adolpho Capenstany says the letter sent to Melissa Baum was a form letter that routinely goes out after 90-days of a child being out of the home and he admits it should not have been sent in this case. "It's not a procedure that we would instigate in the manner it was, and it's also insensitive to a very difficult situation regarding a missing child." Capenstany said.

so when you report your child missing the state starts a count down at day one and if it reaches 90 what ever benefits or support you have for said child ends.  WTF?  i understand if the child is removed or deceased (such as a record of death)  ?  i agree the state should not pay to a household that does not have the child but i gotta wonder?  man they were just sooo on top of it.  if there where a human being that realized the situation ?  let me back up.  dhs or whatever were called out when she went missing.  i'm sure they had a file (if she was getting support (even child support) through the state they have a file.  but a caseworker could have footnoted that file of the situation.  now i got a million questions (considering crystal cosslin in Haleigh's case is still paying child support for both children and one is missing.)

Pool/house above not to be confused with the pool/house that Don and his dog took a picture of.

So there are two different pools, I thought so, because this pic the yard is no where as junky as the other yard
Yup,2 pools plus the one pool doesn't have a stove as a diving board.

You are much more observant than I am. I did not even notice that diving board!
Me either, it is like a junk yard, or it appears to be, maybe it is, I don't know.

Had to pop back in real quick and post this. What the heck is going on?

http://www.mynorthwest.com/?nid=11&sid=218861

Investigators now call the man whose home was searched over the weekend in the Lindsay Baum case a person of interest.

Steve Shumate with the Grays Harbor Sheriff's Office says they are not calling the man a suspect, "There were a number of things, I think in general terms, it was just some inconsistencies with respect to what he had said."

Shumate says evidence gathered at his home still needs to be analyzed. The man was interviewed by police and then released.

The man has now threatened suit against law enforcement for being wrongfully targeted.

A vigil on Saturday marked three months since Lindsey Baum, 11, vanished while walking home from a friend's house.

i still would really like to know what the inconsistencies were

Thanks Karma

I have believe from the getgo that there must have been a credible foundation for the search this past weekend.  A judge would not have approved the warrant otherwise.

Nevertheless ... it has to be remembered that the guage is on "person of interest" not "suspect".

IF the pornographic material that was seized was child porn ... a "person of interest" label is justified.

and yes I will say this because I can and because we have even said it out loud in the real world,,,,,,, IF mb was going to get rid of one of her children,,,, WHICH SHE WOULD NEVER DO,,,,based on everything you have written and read about jb, do you REALLY think that LB would of been the choice?!?! come on people, I know you all have good intentions, even when you do cut people apart, but cant we refrain from suggesting MB did something.                     Why in the world would you or anyone else say such a thing? Wow, I sure hope Josh doesn't here anything like this

Disturbing isnt it?

I personally dont believe MB had anything to do with this, but I hope the "we have even said it out loud" comment above does not mean MB has ever said this. As an outsider, i suppose i can see someone thinking it but not a mother...EVER!

yes, there def would have been an arrest if it was child porn, that's illegal.

i'm not really sure why they would take the porn. at first i thought maybe they could find dna on it (gross) but then i realized if they wanted that they could just take a toothbrush or hairbrush or something like that. then i thought maybe they took it b/c they thought they could gain insight into this "POI's" personality or behaviors from the type of porn he reads. i dont know. it's just disturbing and i feel really bad for this poi if he is innocent

I realize that child porn possession is illegal but ... so is possession of illegal drugs and ... it does not appear there was any arrest.

Why would adult porn be seized during the search?

Thanks

<snipped>

I do have the search warrant and the receipts for items taken.

I am answering what I have permission to answer.

It seems to me they were searching for anything that might let them know if linsey had either been in the house at any time or anything to link someone there to lindsey.  Nothing out of the ordinary except for the swimming suit.  I'll see what else I can post.

the only drugs was a tiny bit of pot and a pipe.  big deal.

Family Says They Are Unfairly Targeted In McCleary Search
Posted: 4:29 pm PDT September 28, 2009
Updated: 7:40 pm PDT September 28, 2009

OLYMPIA, Wash. -- After two days of intense searching at a home and property outside McCleary, investigators said it appears they found no significant evidence that will help find 11-year-old Lindsey Baum.

The owner of the property told KIRO 7 reporter Richard Thompson that he’s contacted a lawyer about suing the police and the media, saying they had no right to put the family through the search.

Baum’s mother said she is disappointed that nothing was found relating to her daughter, who has been missing for three months.

"I was obviously really hoping something would come from the search," said Melissa Baum.

Law enforcement sources told KIRO 7 that among the evidence collected during the search were condoms and pornographic magazines. A car was also seized and will undergo further forensic testing.

The homeowner of the property said his family has been unfairly targeted in the search, "they didn't find anything here because we didn't do anything to that little girl."

Relatives confirm a man at the house was the focus of the investigation and search. One of his relatives said, "the only reason they were doing this search is, he gave a wrong answer to a question by a detective on the telephone."

Detectives insisted Monday they were acting on credible evidence when they got the search warrant for the property on Friday.

Lindsey's mother said she understands the family's frustration, but her daughter's life is at stake.

"If they end up being completely innocent, I'm sorry. But at the same time, my daughter is missing," she said.

Lindsey disappeared June 26 while walking home from a friend’s house.

Has LE Looked at the dad ??
Where does he live ?

Hi Edward, and Thanks.  Your comment made me take another look at the link:

Snip
"Investigators now call the man whose home was searched over the weekend in the Lindsay Baum case a person of interest."

When I first read that I thought it could be the 23 yr old as he is a man.  It also could be the father in the family.

We'll have to find out more as time progresses, to see if this family of 4 includes 2 sons, a mother and then - a father.  It will certainly put a different light on things.  xox

When articles and are quotes are bumped, grinded, or snipped, in all fairness to the conversation, all the conversations contrary or proving the comments wrong to the bumped, grinded, or snipped comments need to be included.
It was determined pages ago that NO written complaint was filed with LE or SS regarding any abuse to Lindsey from her mother or her brother.  It was proven pages and pages ago the ML has an axe to grind and has not be totally forthright in her comments.  To snip such comments as truisms is misleading and blatantly unfair to any conversation.  Unless such inflamatory remarks can be substantiated, to continue to bump, grind, or snip is just plain wrong.  And no, I will not go back and find it, everyone here can read just as good as I can.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but to knowingly bump, grind, and snip only select pieces of newspaper articles or contrary opinions is misleading and unfair to readers who may not have read all comments and it causes unwarranted speculation and rumors.
And yes, I'm on a tear! for which I will not apologize unless my facts are wrong.
