I also think that even though we know bad things happen, we still think it cant/wont happen to us. this is as close to home as it gets for me outside of my own immidiate family and sad to say I am still doing things i probably shouldnt after what has happened to MB.  My daughter starts college in a week and will be commuting to seattle. I am hoping she meets people right away that maybe want to carpool so they can all save on gas money. My dad said to me 'make sure she carpools with some females and not any creepy males'.  do you think any thought like that even crossed my mind? nope... and  our other 2 girls ages 12 and 10 go out and jump on the trampoline in my front yard.  I have heard about kids getting snagged right out of their yards but i still let them do it. my curtain is open, i can see them but i am not standing out there with them always.  so i guess that makes me a horrible mother in the eyes of many.

and more of my blondeness,, i never realized till right this minute that clicking on those lil monkey things makes them appear in the posts! lol
I have to agree with you Melissa.
We are all different and we raise our kids differently.I live in the heart of Detroit and I don't like to go out when it's dark which it is every morning when I leave for work.My point is can we please move on from the parenting skills and refocus on Lindsey?
No one can change what happened to Lindsey,it happened so we need to move on.
Beautiful baby girl you got there!

More on the fight between JB and others...please, please.

(JenniferO's response)
Thanks norm!

the "fight" was nothing more than a couple of kids arguing.. The woman who "broke it up" was asked by Lindsey to tell Josh to stop. LB and MK took off before anything could be said to anyone.. so the woman told JB that it was probably best that he just went home. Leave the girls alone.
She sent a text to MB telling her what was going on and MB agreed that JB should just come home.
JB went home. LB and MK went to MKs house. Later this woman (and no, I won't share her name) saw Lindsey on her walk home.

I haven't read the threads, I will. I just wanted to report in.

I wish I could share information but I've been asked not to say anything about the searches themselves.

I can tell you that I met the woman who "broke up the fight" between Josh and Lindsey. And lets just say that the media, once again left out a lot of information and got even more incorrect.

have we all agreed on this board that we aren't going to look further into the search warrants from this weekend and accept that kona's family is being framed in some way?

i'm just wondering b/c i would like to know what the alibi was for the night lb went missing.  again, im not saying that i think this family had anything to do with it but i cant stop wondering why someone would go out of their way to make such malicious claims and why they would be searching for a bathing suit at her home.

the only people i think would know she had a bathing suit on would be her mother, brother, kk & her daughter, and the people whos home she went to after she left karak's and asked to sleep over.

the other possibility is that no one knew she still had it on b/c she had it on under clothes after she showered, but when fbi went to the home they realized it was missing.

this whole thing makes no sense.

IIRC, someone involved in this case, said that the person who sent Josh home...PAGED MB to let her know she was sending Josh home and again IIRC MB responded back that was OK.   Does anyone else remember this?

Again, it would be so helpful to know exactly what these eyewitnesses reported, and to have a timeline from MB herself.
Madre, that was JenniferO at WS who stated that the witness who broke up the fight and sent Josh home also texted Melissa and told her she was sending Josh home.Melissa texted back that was OK.This is also the same witness who saw Lindsey on her walk home from Kayla's house.

Tamikosmom I can see what you are saying, I wonder if MB assumed Lindsey would be escorted back to the house by Kayla, her brother, her mother or what have you as what may have been done in the past.
I wish I knew if MB just thought Lindsey was spending the night over there since Josh would have told her the plans changed once he returned home...

Why are these details so hard to find out? Seems like they are basic questions, why is this spokes person not out there clearing this stuff up, after all being a PR spokes person, that would be her job, right? If she is being a spokes person, she sucks at it.
The girls changed their minds about asking if Kayla could stay the night.......after the bike fight and after Josh was sent home the girls decided to ask if Lindsey could stay the night at Kayla's.Probably because she had just had a fight with her brother and didn't want to go home.

If it is accurate that the witness texted MB that she was sending JB home(before Lindsey got to Kara's, let's just say around 9pm), wouldn't MB have been looking for JB much earlier than the 10pm curfew?

1.  I want to see those warrants and any other warrant in the case if they are made public.  I am not convinced framing had anything to do with the search.  I  suspect that a concerned citizen provided authorities with a tip ... a tip he/she felt was worthy of consideration in the quest for answers in the disappearance of a little girl.  While not undermining the LE search ... the two neighbours who were interviewed by the media upheld the family.

2.  If Lindey's bathing suit cannot be found ... I believe she just threw clothes over her bathing suit prior to heading off with her brother and friend to the Kampen/Williams' residence.  This is why a bathing suit was listed on the search warrant.

Police have yet to find big break in case

Chief Criminal Deputy Dave Pimentel said he conducted interviews with a number of people Friday, but said no suspects or persons of interests have been named and no arrests have been made.

“So far, we have not found that smoking gun, we have not found anything that would jump out at us, but without forensic analysis done at the lab, we can’t really say whether what we’ve found will help our cause or not.”

<snipped>

Pimentel noted that although the search warrants are getting a lot of attention, the Sheriff’s Office has “served dozens of search warrants” during the course of the three-month investigation.

“This is just one tip we’ve received that we decided to follow up on out of thousands, literally, thousands of tips,” Pimentel said. “The people we talked to yesterday were among the hundreds and hundreds of people we’ve talked to, as well.”

Pimentel said the next step is sending the dozens of boxes and bags of evidence on to the state’s crime lab for forensic analysis.

Neighbors said they don’t think police will find a thing.

"I just think they've got the wrong family. I'm sure they've got some sort of evidence or something, but I'm sure they've got the wrong family," said one neighbor who did not give his name.

I'm not giving up on LE produces these search warrants but I doubt they will produce them.
As far as Kona's son, heck yeah I want to know his alibi especially because he works/worked at the BeeHive and the BeeHive has always had my attention.
There is no confirmation that Lindsey did stop at someone's house after leaving KaraK's house.....not that I'm aware of.

Thank-you      All this talk about Kara's phone, has me wondering why even bother to have a phone if it is such a crappy phone, with having as many kids as she does, one would think you would have a decent phone. I have a regular phone in my house, I don't have a cell, because I don't need or want one, but my daughters and husband does, I just don't understand not having a proper communication device for emergencies and what not.

Yes, and also be wondering if Lindsey was coming home or spending the night, maybe she should have called IF Josh did come home. I wonder when and if he came home.

Yes and Josh supposedly went right home after the witness told him to.But Melissa did say Josh likes to wander around so if he wasn't home right away then she probably would expect him home at 10:00 PM.

The girls changed their minds about asking if Kayla could stay the night.......after the bike fight and after Josh was sent home the girls decided to ask if Lindsey could stay the night at Kayla's.Probably because she had just had a fight with her brother and didn't want to go home.

The girls had plans for Kayla to spend the night, they walked over to her house, with JB in toe as a possible escort for Lindsey in the case she couldn't. The fight happened, Josh is sent home, the bike abandoned, they asked if Lindsey could spend the night, the request was rejected and Lindsey was sent on her way home......Mean while Kara's phone is dead, MB could not call and check on her daughter, whether or not she called prior to 10, we don't know, she could have. By 10 something after LB"s curfew passes, MB reaches kara who happens to turn on her phone and everyone realizes Lindsey is missing. Two stories emerge, one kara and MB start looking and phone calls are made, the other, scott and Kara throw on shoes and head right over to MB's.

BTW I am not saying anyone is a good mom or not a good mom. I am trying to pick apart this story because it is not making any sense.
Karma given the fact that MB received a text stating Josh was being sent home I think it would be safe to assume MB would have been alarmed if JB had not come right home.
