4th person pleads guilty in national ID theft ring

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — A fourth person has pleaded guilty in a $2.1 million identity theft ring in which Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke's wife was a victim.

Authorities say Barker admitted using fake IDs and stolen bank information to impersonate victims and cash illegal checks, draining their bank accounts.

Authorities say the victims included Anna Bernanke, whose purse was stolen outside a Capitol Hill coffee shop in August 2008.

Why is it that millions of illegal immigrants can use stolen, fraud, and false Social Security numbers in America and our government officals look the other way?

Is Bernanke somehow more important? 

Maybe the ID Theft Ring is composed of citizens and people here legally, and therefore fair game? 

Target Americans and ignore people here illegally?

Did they get to use something like this as a successful defense -

"I didn't know those checks belonged to a real person..."

"I didn't know those IDs belongs to a real person..."

What are the chances that these people would even make the news if there were here illegally?
