That was exactly what I thought.  Anyone here read Beach House?  The murder is committed somewhere between 5/29 and 5/30 by the fixer who takes care of anyone who is "against" the powers that be.

I've been looking around on this.  

6/18/05 was a Saturday, and also the day following Steve Croes arrest.  

6/23/05 (Thursday) was the date PVDS was arrested & said he talked to Ruth Dijkhoff at the bank...it doesn't say, however, that she, in fact, worked there, but I did find something inconclusive that could mean she had been a bank employee at another bank, prior.  R. Dijkhoff is a contact listed on a 2001 Registration form on this site:

If the deceased Ruth Dijkhoff-Holtmann is the same person he reference, I, too, am coming up with nothing more.  If she is the same person, it's eery, like many other things, that she'd was dead 3 weeks later.  

As Anna and others said, if she'd been an employee at CMB, and was not in on that date, that would be something.  If she was just another customer, it wouldn't mean much, at all, especially now.  Just my thoughts at the moment.

You might be right 2NJsons.  Paulus is using her as his alibi for seeing him at the bank.  He might in fact have a deposit slip that he deposited money that day but it doesn't mean he is the one who made the deposit.  Paulus makes it a point in saying he went to the bank twice that day and the first time the line was long so he went back later on.  That could be pure BS on his part because he was still at home cleaning the crime scene.

I sure wish my memory was better on this, or that I had saved the link..sigh...but I was reading the other day about a modeling agency that was really a front for porn. Unsuspecting young ladies (girls actually), asked to pose in provacative poses. The method sounded a lot like a Freddy setup. Did anyone else see this story, I think it was on msn news? Or did I dream it...lol

Yeah, San.  If you are going to pick a reliable witness, it helps if he/she passes on 6 days before you give your statement.

I remember that Friday afternoon that we were all here and the initials for SGC and LVR came up as two suspects (but in retrospect I think it might have been guido van rijn).  The next day we heard about the man who was beheaded.  I believe it was Arubagirl who was telling us the names associated with the initials.  The ever-misleading Wonderwoman was giving out wrong information on that date.  SandraK was quick to proclaim Steve Croes as "my baby."

Come to think of it, I couldn't tell you who I saw or talked to at the bank or grocery store two weeks ago, let alone remember how much I deposited, withdrew or bought.  If I needed to, I'd be in deep doodoo.  Nothing like pulling it out of your ear...

I think you are correct about the timing, as it seems I had just returned from a trip to Houston and I know that the news of the "confession" was on the news very late the night before I left ....I was up late packing as usual....

Forgive me for being a little off the current topic....just working on a theory....

I believe I saw Florida post modeling pictures of Guido (which I had seen) and GVC. Is it common knowledge amongst monkeys that GVC modeled also? Does anyone know if it was the same agency?

Tell me if this has already been beat to death and i will shut up.  

Klaas is right...the GVC "modeling" pic with makeup & lip gloss came from his Hi5 website...Guido was modeling in the NL....I assume they knew each other in Aruba thru tennis...Maybe they know Hiram also.

I think Paul's banking story was a complete fabrication and the only way he could explain his absence from work and his presence in the area of his home.  There were no gambling profits to deposit by Joran's own admission.  How did Ruth Dijkhoff's name get drawn into it?  The polis must have asked PVDS if anyone could verify his new fangled story.  Maybe Ruth was employed at that bank branch and Paul knew this from prior visits or, his maid, Rita was a relative of Ruth's and mentioned this to Paul.  Maybe Ruth was nowhere near the bank that day but Paul would certainly have known that she had died by the time he made up his story.
I am sure that when someone dies in Aruba - everybody knows within hours or they read it in the newspapers.  That's about the nicest theory I have. The darker version is that she was murdered because she and Paul did see each other on May 30 and not at the bank.  It is so hard to pin down an accurate series of events when we don't know half of the evidence and most of the suspect's are complete liars.  It is so frustrating.
