Book About Casey Anthony Expected In November

Posted: 5:15 pm EDT September 28, 2009Updated: 6:32 pm EDT September 28, 2009
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- You can now read up on the case against Casey Anthony through a new book hitting the shelves in November.

In "Mommy's Little Girl," true crime author Diane Fanning poured through thousands of public court documents to deliver Casey's story and a picture of her family life in novel form.

Casey is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, but the author also theorizes about why Casey might have killed Caylee

State will release more Casey Anthony case documents today
FBI lab reports on evidence included in release

Sarah Lundy Sentinel Staff Writer

5:54 a.m. EDT, September 29, 2009

More documents are scheduled to be made public this morning in the death penalty case against Casey Anthony, the mother accused of killing her daughter last year.

The State Attorney's Office are expected to release about 1,000 pages, including FBI lab reports on various pieces of evidence.

Casey Anthony's defense team already has a copy of these pages. The State Attorney's Office is releasing the reports in response to a public records request made by the media.

Casey Anthony, 23, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Marie. The toddler was reported missing in July 2008 – about a month after she was last seen alive.

Her remains were found five months later in December in woods less than a mile from her family home in east Orange County.

The medical examiner determined the toddler was killed but could not give a cause of death.

Casey Anthony's trial is expected to begin next summer.

Check back for updates.

"FBI lab reports on evidence included in release"      The way the OS worded that it makes it sound very encouraging but included in that is what the defense leaked to 6 last week about the heart sticker/residue.   I know we'd feel better knowing there is physical evidence along with a ton of very strong circumstantial evidence

LOL i know me too, hopefully they will come out this morning. So, now its all clear that the defense had these docs and thats where they leaked it from, they are so unprofessional. They are the ones in the media every chance they get and they are the ones that are leaking information to make it seem as if the information is much more important than it is. If i had the choice of either keeping the sticky outline which may or may not match the stickers they found, or trying to get fingerprints, i would go with the fingerprints.

The information the defense leaked wasn't that important, to obtain information from degraded evidence is not easy and it's often destroyed in the process. Nothing very startling there IMO. It just reinforces the defense team media driven proclivities and shows there is no need to change the venue. I am hoping there is fingerprint evidence because if there is it becomes a slam dunk.

UPDATED: 7:23 am EDT September 29, 2009
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Prosecutors in the Casey Anthony investigation are expected to release more than 1,000 pages of documents related to the case on Tuesday.

The material is expected to include forensics reports from the FBI.

The FBI admitted to destroying residue of a heart-shaped sticker last week on duct tape found across Caylee Anthony's skull.

Authorities said it happened while technicians tested for fingerprints on the tape.
