In a comment over there I asked if Cindy was going for an Emmy now, Biznatch please

For those that want to you can leave a comment:

OMG!! That woman will win no Emmy because it's soooooo obvious she's acting. So that's where Casey gets her crying act from; but she's better at it than Sin because at least she pokes her eye to make it look a little red. Sin would be embarrassed if she only knew the meaning of the word! Fake crying voice and wiping her clear eyes with not a drop of moisture visible. Somebody give this creature a clue--Sin you are a hypocrite who can't act her way out of a paper bag!

CBS (48 Hours) owns Simon & Schuster.

Wasn't Simon & Schuster the same publishing company who assured us all who wrote e-mails they were not, and would not publish a story about the Anthonys?

Don't look for a George and Cindy Anthony book from big-time publisher Simon & Schuster.

Adam Rothberg, a vice president at the publishing house, writes: "Simon & Schuster does not have a book deal with the Anthony's or anybody else associated with this case."

Maybe they were crossing their fingers behind their backs. Or, maybe they meant right at that time. I guess if the boss told them to publish one, they would have to do it.

S & S started off saying  Please be advised that Simon & Schuster does not and will not have a book deal with George and Cindy Anthony, or anybody else associated with this case.   Any reports to the contrary are inaccurate.  Then it went to   Please be advised that Simon & Schuster does not have a book deal, nor does it have any plans to publish a book, with George and Cindy Anthony, or anybody else associated with this case.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least to see several book deals coming out.

The latest filing in the Casey Anthony murder case on Thursday was the boldest to date.

Anthony's defense team is asking Circuit Judge Stan Strickland to dismiss the case.

And just in case Strickland isn't inclined to get rid of the case in which Anthony is charged with first-degree murder, defense attorneys also filed an amended motion about a change of venue. The defense suggests Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach counties as possible places for the murder trial, which is unscheduled but could come to court sometime in 2010.

Also filed on Thursday were motions related to the Orange County Jail. The defense wants a protective order prohibiting the jail from videotaping attorney visits with Anthony at the jail.

And it wants the jail to destroy videos of Anthony and her family.

Anthony is charged in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Marie, who disappeared last summer. Her remains were found in December in a wooded area less than a mile from the house Casey Anthony shared with her parents.

She was indicted for murder in October and was in jail at the time her daughter's body was discovered.

This story is developing.

Check back for updates.

The murder case is one of three Anthony is involved in. She also faces a criminal case for check fraud charges, and there is a pending civil case against her from a Kissimmee woman, Zenaida Gonzalez.

Upon reporting her daughter missing last year, Casey Anthony told investigators that Caylee was with a babysitter named Zenaida Gonzalez. Detectives later determined that no such babysitter existed.

The woman who is Gonzalez is suing to preserve her name and reputation

Aaaaargh!   These people are making me so angry.  How can they look at themselves in the mirror? I will never understand how they can defend people like her...
On the other hand, if they move it to S Florida it will be a slam dunk for the prosecution down there. They have so much serious crime that juries heard it all seen it all and won't believe her B.S.

Casey Anthony: '48 Hours Mystery' did license footage
posted by halboedeker on Sep 17, 2009 3:34:46 PM
<snipped>
The newsmagazine issued a statement: "In keeping with longstanding policy and practice, CBS News did not pay for any interviews relating to the Anthony story. Licensing footage is a standard industry practice done by television news programs to produce a visually complete story."

A Web site promo for the program shows Cindy Anthony, Casey's mom, talking in an interview. An announcer says, "The case that riveted the country. Her granddaughter dead. Her own daughter accused. Now Casey Anthony's parents are fighting to save her life." Casey Anthony is charged with the first-degree murder of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.

A CBS News spokeswoman said the program isn't finished, that the snippet of Cindy Anthony is a small part of the program and that "48 Hours Mystery" gives both sides of a story.
