Good morning.

After reading last nights posts, I went to Kyle's blog The Search for Natalee Holloway to see if entries there compared or mirrored some of the things brought up, such as the use of 'we'.  In this entry below, he is referring to ROV dives, fwiw.  I noted that an entry was made 12/29 and a few following this 12/31 entry. 

      Don't forget that he did post on 1/9/08 that all internet connectivity had been lost for 2 days prior...1/7 & 1/8.....    (also looked at OE's posts here from that timeframe but personally didn't find anything to use for comparison.)           

Mon 31-Dec - 1022hrs
The Persistence spent yesterday performing multiple dives with the ROV. The purpose of the dives is for collecting video of each sonar target. Typically, the sonar target is quickly identified and ruled out from the ROV video. The ROV operations lasted until dusk, where we resumed sonar survey operations through the night. Today, we are performing more ROV dives on targets of potential interest.

Are you able you access the book?  This is so frustrating.  Klaas teases me with a beautifully wrapped present but ... I am not allowed to open it and discover what is within.

 

This reminds me of an advertisement that appears quite often lately on TV.  A little girl is presented with a bike but ... cannot ride it.  The boundaries are very confined.

Anyways ... I think it was meant to be that I am not tempted to access this book today.  It is a professional day for teachers and therefore no school for youngest grandkids (6/8).  They were just dropped off by pilot Dad on his way to the airport.  Time spent with them is where it is at.

A breakfast of Mickey Mouse pancakes and bacon ... for a start.  Papa gets the credit.

You were correct.  The problem had something to do with flash player.  Son and DIL popped in on their way to a teachers' conference in Vancouver.  I grabbed them both and told them could not leave until they baby-stepped me through the problem.

Thanks again.  Papa has taken kids to a dahlia farm to buy some tubers.  The three of them of planning a colorful dahlias garden for next Spring.  Anyways ... I have a couple of hours to read.

This undertaking of Patrick's began in July 2007.

So that was definitely LONG before there was even a peep about Persistence going to Aruba 5 months later.

Which also then certainly means this project was not an attempt at a diversion from what Peristence found.

When I consider the timing of the November, 2007 rearrests of Joran, Deepak and Satish and ... when I consider that the "powers that be" knew of the attempting "unmasking" of Joran van der Sloot

1.  I suspect at some period in time the "powers that be" became involved in the Range Rover recordings.

2.  I suspect the detentions were not justified and ... had everything to do with collaborating projected outcomes in the upcomming January Range Rover recordings ... projected outcomes that could bring a conclusion to the Natalee Holloway case.

3.  I suspect there was another collaboration with the "powers that be" for the fifth and final Range Rover recording ... another collaboration to assure that all projected outcomes were successfully accomplished..

Arubans wary of fifth car trip in Holloway case

Dutch tv crime reporter Peter R de Vries set up a fifth car trip to try and get Joran van der Sloot to confess to murdering US teenager Natalee Holloway after the Aruban public prosecution department said the original four recordings did not contain enough evidence, the Volkskrant reported on Saturday.
 
Aruban officials told De Vries and his team at a secret hotel meeting that the tapes did not contain enough new evidence, the paper says in a reconstruction of events surrounding the tv programme which claimed to solve the mystery of her disappearance.

Aruban public prosecutor Hans Mos told the paper he did not want to have anything to do with the extra car trip because he was afraid it could be construed as entrapment and blow the case.
 
The final car trip with Van der Sloot and his 'friend' Patrick van der Eem took place on January 29 in a borrowed car which had been hastily kitted out with recording equipment, the paper said. The original had already been sold.

During that trip, Van der Sloot said he was not sure if Natalee had been dead when a friend dumped her body at sea ...

Wern't the whole Kalpoe/Joran re-arrests in November '07 predicated on "wiretaps" from the summer/fall before?
