I'm trying to read back to find out, but maybe it would just be easier to ask, so would some kind monkey help me understand something? My understanding last night was that some evidence had been discovered in or near the pond. Is that still the story today and is there any info on what that evidence is?

I know there's been speculation about a blanket, I'm just curious as to what's been confirmed. Thanks so much!

In the state of Florida one automatically becomes an emancipated minor when one marries.This status conveys the responsibilities of an adult as well as the privileges. Misty would be charged as an adult for a legal offense but would not legally vote until age 18 nor drink until age 21. Her cry of "How much can a 17 year old take ?" is invalid. She has been an adult for 7 months now and no longer has the protection afforded a minor child.

Yep, that's exactly who I think the 'letter from an inmate out of state' is from.   

Just think, when/if an arrest is EVER made in this case, the Florida Sunshine Law will kick in, and we'll eventually (hopefully) get to see documents and stuff that LE may have.

She might still be 'in custody' tho.  With the way LE seems to play with words, wouldn't surprise me at all.

well it was said it was a letter from a person incarcerated from out of state, I dont think cousin Joe is in jail, well he could be by now....who knows with this family..

Didn't he spip out of TN and take off for FL ... not sure what the charges were...so would he not have gone back to the pokey???  Then again, maybe he got out on..good letter writing.

well it was said it was a letter from a person incarcerated from out of state, I dont think cousin Joe is in jail, well he could be by now....who knows with this family..

From what I understand, (and I could be wrong), Joe supposedly violated his probation/parole by going out of state to FL, and was re-arrested, has to serve out his original sentence.  Something like that.

Divers Searching For Evidence In Haleigh Cummings Case

WESH 2 Caller Says Divers Searching In Mondex Subdivision

PALATKA, Fla. -- The Putnam County Sheriff's Office has received information that there is possible physical evidence in the Haleigh Cummings investigation located in a body of water south of Palatka, police said Friday.

A WESH 2 caller said crews were searching in an undeveloped subdivision in Putnam County called Mondex.

PCSO Lt. Johnny Greenwood said Saturday that Sheriff Jeff Hardy wanted to quell any rumors that Haleigh's body had been recovered.

He also said that the PCSO has received numerous calls regarding a search currently being conducted south of Palatka.

"It has been our position that we will not discuss operations or searches prior to their completion," Greenwood said.

Saturday's search is the result of one of more than 4,000 tips received in this case, Greenwood said.

Divers from the PCSO, St. Johns County Sheriff's Office and Clay County Sheriff's Office are conducting underwater searches in the area. In an attempt to assist the divers, the decision has been made to lower the water level in the pond to reduce the search area, Greenwood said.

He said, although coincidental, the recent interviews with Hank Thomas Croslin Jr. and Kristina Prevatt did not provide the information which led to the search. However, he would not release any details about the interviews.

"Although we continue to interview people in this case every single day, there have been no significant developments to report," Greenwood said.
