If they found / find any kind of remains, they would be put in a coroner's vehicle. An identification would have to be made via DNA. I can't imagine that there would be anything soft, ie clothes blankets identifiable around.

Having said that, they didn't go out there on major overtime on a whim.

Area residents said that while the pond is a 35-minute drive from the mobile home where Haleigh was last scene, but it's not that far from water access across the river from Satsuma.

I find it odd that Ron and Teresa and Granny aren't there, or could they be, and perhaps Crystol is on her way as well.

So I guess the dogs were right in tracking Haleighs scent to the water...so ....I would say that they are right about the rr tracks and the dumpster so wonder how that fits in? Something could have been put in the dumpsters and removed later ....maybe they went down to the water and then went by the tracks to avoid being seen by someone?...hummmm....if we had a visual trail from the back door to the water and back up to the tracks/dumpster?....This is crazy !.....God Bless Haleigh

Newbie in the house here.  Hate to ask, but want to know...where can I find the railroad track and dumpster discussions?  If it's too much trouble, I totally understand.  TIA!

Deputies Searching Putnam Woods, Pond
Family Told Search Is Connected To Missing Haleigh Cummings

POSTED: Friday, September 18, 2009
UPDATED: 11:52 pm EDT September 18, 2009

www.newsjax4.com

PALATKA, Fla. -- Putnam County authorities said there's nothing newsworthy going on, but Haleigh Cumming's family told Channel 4 that a search of woods and a pond south of Palatka that continued late Friday night is connected to the 6-year-old's disappearance.

It's a second night of police activity in Putnam County that had people speculating about a development in the search for the Satsuma girl missing since February.

Many people called and e-mailed Channel 4's newsroom Friday night about the search of a pond on Stokes Landing Road, off U.S. Highway 19 south of Palatka. Channel 4's Jennifer Bauer confirms that law enforcement has blocked roads leading to the pond.

A man tells Channel 4 the sheriff's office asked his pumping company to drain a pond off U.S Highway 19 south of Palatka.

Bauer was told by a man whose employees were pumping water at the request of the sheriff's office they would likely be on scene all night. The man said the sheriff's office would not tell him what they were looking for.

Bauer was also told by an area resident that she saw police divers in the water earlier on Friday.

The activity comes 24 hours after police questioned Hank Croslin Jr.. He is the brother of Haleigh's stepmother, who is the last person to see Haleigh before she disappeared.

Croslin was arrested earlier this week on a charge of grand theft of a firearm -- a charge unrelated to the Haleigh Cumming case.

Sheriff's officials said Croslin's wife, Lindsey, and two others were to come in on Friday for questioning.

Misty Croslin, who has since married Haleigh's father, put Haleigh to bed in a Satsuma mobile home the night of Feb. 9. Before dawn the next morning, she was gone.

Earlier Friday, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office issued a statement to dispel rumors circulating that they were searching for or had found Haleigh.

Lt. Johnny Greenwood said, "There have been no significant developments to report."

When questioned about what residence said appeared to be law enforcement searching an area south of Palatka Friday morning, the sheriff's official called it was a routine training exercise.

Area residents said that while the pond is a 35-minute drive from the mobile home where Haleigh was last scene, but it's not that far from water access across the river from Satsuma.

Channel 4 will remain in Putnam County while this activity continues. Expect more coverage Saturday on the local station.

Oh wow, that pic really brings it home, I didn't realize how big the pumps were

I know, kinda odd IMO..........I'd think you'd have to almost sift thru the water, unless you are looking for something like a sunken Jon Boat or four wheeler, definitely not for tiny bones

That is what is making me think she is in some kind of container. Maybe a drum of some kind. They wouldn't be doing this at night if not. It would be a much slower, tedious daytime process.

Makes me wonder if Hank Jr. stole the gun with the intent to commit suicide...
I doubt it, he was probably gonna sell it so he could get some more money to get out of Satsuma.........OMG

Does anyone remember right off when the gun was stolen? For some reason, I thought the actual theft had been a while ago.

You'd think, but remember whe they were searching the dumpster.........they were all in it and I would have thought they should have sifted thru it. If it is her, I do pray that she is in a container of some sort, otherwise they will never find disarticulated bones or not enough to determine COD, and still wonder if hey could anyway

Now I wish Ronald had gotten the chance to beat Tommy up more then what he did, sorry piece of crap......him and Misty and their whole family..........

As it is widely suspected that bro & Misty are responsible, too bad the police couldnt get away with letting him "have at it" to a pulp!   I'm shaking because something brought me to check with this case tonight, now I am absolutely restless.

Hoping for a miracle but logic says otherwise, thoughts & prayers with you always Haleigh  an angelic monkey

More than likely it would be on the first Haleigh thread. The dogs followed her track the first morning she was missing, and led them to the water and the railroad tracks. The RR tracks are on the main drag going out of the trailer park to US17.

So, would that mean someone carrying her or her walking or what?  IDK much about the tracking aspect.  Anyone?

We have heard so little from the PCSO that everytime they say something now, it sounds like double-speak, and not quite truthful. At least that is the impression I am getting. It just sounds like police speak, when they know something and they have no intention of telling the public. They have been generally that way from the first. IMO

So that brings me back to the question is Ron there?   Also just saw this (RUMOR  "viewer called First Coast News @ 8:30pm & said customers at auction house off Hwy 17 said family members told them Haleigh's body found." )   What is auction house?

There is no doubt in my mind that this has to do with something Tommy said while being questioned.  Police started  yesterday and Lindsey was brought in today.  Wonder what she knows or did they bring her in to protect her?

I wonder that also, I sure hope all these people didn't know this for seven months
