Northern, the embed is disabled, but this should help you know about the ACD.

Thank you JSM.  I took a peak at the link and his nibbling with his front teeth is there.  It describes so many of his quirks.  When I am in the pool with the kids he runs around it at 100 miles per hour and then he just drops and watches for me to get out.

I have been reading about your dogs, and laughing. I love dogs too, and wish I had one. I missed every dog I ever had. But we have enough fur flying around here! If we had more room, I would get a dog. Most of the residences in our neighborhood are condos, with most people working every day. I am amazed to see all the dogs their owners take out every afternoon and morning for a walk. Some are very large dogs too, and I hope they are mostly in daycare and not left home alone every day.

I have been gone most all afternoon and evening. We usually do our large shopping on Friday when my son can do the heavy lifting, but he is going to have to work this Friday, and tomorrow is his long day, so he wanted to do it tonight. Now I am really exhausted, and I think I may be one of the People of Walmart, as I left home with hardly any notice. I will never tell if I see myself on the site though. I can tell you that I wasn't wearing anything too short, and my big fanny was definitey not hanging out. The rest I will not admit to.

Between our cat and the dog I have enough fur to stuff a pillow once a month.  That is why I love my roomba's so much!
I gotta get one of those roombas!

Here is the other shed machine.

How sweet!! That kitty would be so be Josef's dinner.  Monkey Devil!

We thought his paw useage came from being raised as a pup around the cats.  We had two cats at the time and neither took any guff from him.  Fat cat will swat at him when he walks too close.

Night JSM.  Hope you are feeling better tomorrow . Thank you for teaching me about idiot dogs quirks.  Seems I may be the one that needs the retraining.

Your kitty looks like it has it's winter coat already! Mine are beginning to get the thick undercoat again. That is how I can see for sure that winter is on the way. Your kitty is beautiful. He or she, and name?

He - or used to be a he LOL.  His name is Fasa.  His brother was Simba.  Fasa was the bigger one so we called him fat cat when we got confused as they looked so much alike.  They were rescue cats and we could not seperate them so we took them both.  Simba died this spring suddenly.  Fasa has not been as active since his brother passed.

Zoe does that darn nibbling with her front teeth, it just drives me nuts, it's nibble for 10 seconds, a big lick, nibble for 10 seconds, a big lick, over and over

Holy hotness outside.

Here is what idiot dog looks like.  Just took these.

He looks like a snapper.

That dog is beautiful.  His face seems to have so much meaning.

Thank you so much.  He is 3 years old, was a father's day present from my daughter (her way of making sure Dad could not say NO), and has turned into my dog.  I was so devastated when our beloved Husky passed this year.  He still misses his buddy and will bring some of the Husky's toys to me and then just stare at me.  He is very mommy attached and is the quirkiest dog I have ever been around.  He thinks he is human sometimes other times he uses his paws like he is a cat.  I do love him even though I call him idiot dog, it is just that he does so many things that dogs just do not normally do.  I think he is species confused.
Northern, that is so sad about him missing his buddy.

Because he has heeler blood in him, they usually attach themselves to ONE person.  And they think they are human and use their paws like a cat.

Anyways, I just wanted to tell you that I think your dog is a beautiful mix and looks like the one that lives across the hall from me.

I had never been around a heeler before this dog.  Grew up with German Shepards and when we got a Husky that was a huge adjustment for me.  I guess I should be more accepting of his quirks.  We were originally told her was a Shepard /border collie cross, but vet immediately told us he had more heeler in him than border collie.  I could never understand why he would run around the kids in circles barking at them, then understood he was herding them.  Never had a dog leave me dead mice in a row along a door threshold before either.  If I get out of a chair he immediate jumps on it and curls up on it like he belongs there, and if I do not come back within minutes then he follows me.  I have tripped over him more times than any other dog in my life.   He hates being outside by himself and if he can not see someone inside he will bark his head off till you let him in.     I am getting chickens next year and he had better not eat them!

Uh...About those chickens........

Yeah.  I am thinking I may need to fence off a run for them or he will totally terrorize them.

I just love all these dog stories. I know the reason my Charlie stares at me is because he loves me.  There are people who say dogs are just dumb animals and can't love. I know they can.  That's why they follow you to the bathroom and watch while you're in the tub.  That's why he comes over and sleeps under the computer desk when I'm on line. They love you.  I usually take a shower but Charlie would come in with me if I'd let him.  He's not a heeler or sheep dog or anything special really.  He's just a black and white terrier type dog that someone threw out by the side of the road in Clarksville, weighs 40 pounds and he loves me.  And I love him.

Animals have souls, usually it is the people who are void of compassion who can't see it. Usually the ones you rescue somehow understand that and their love is unbelievable!
