I tweeked the recipe a little. We are having Kahns big red smokies embellished with vidalia onions chopped, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, pickle relish, sauerkraut, hot dog chili, mustard and ketsup. You have to eat them with a fork. Served with Bush's steakhouse grilling beans, and chips. I am worn out, from slaving over a hot stove.

Glen Beck's show today ought to be good. He is talking about the Polish not being happy about the cancelling of the missle defense shield and feel they have been sold to the Russians.

He is going to be talking about O's foreign policy and who's best interest he has a heart....American or GE....

Hubby just called and he had to go to the tire place because one of the tires on the truck had a bulge on it.I told him to find out what country made them.He said he had to go.   
I told him I was really pizzed because my friends are having yummy hot dogs and pizza and such....even cough syrup and cold ML.I am mad as he!! and I ain't taking it any more.     I demand unhealthy food.He said he'd work on it.

NORTHERN ROSE, this is the first year I have ever had sunflowers. How do you know when it is time to havest the seeds? All the blooms have dried up, and the little blooms on the seeds have fallen off. The stems and leaves are turning brown, but still have green on them. Do I leave them till they die back completely? How do you get the seeds? I'm so d*mb. I am a city girl. 

Once the yellow petals around the flower head are gone it is usually time.  If the nubs on the seed are all off it is defiantly time.  If they come off easily with your finger it is time.  So what I do is take the head and break it in half across the middle.  If it will not break easily it is still too moist so I put the heads out on my deck to dry a few days and hope the birds do not get them.  You can try cutting the backside of the head and then snapping it in half.  Then from the snapped part I take my thumb and run it across the seeds pushing them out over a cookie sheet.  You can now air dry them or in a really large frying pan pour in enough olive oil till the bottom is barely covered.  Put the seeds in and turn heat on medium.  then when they are getting hot and start absorbing the oil add salt.  If all the oil is not absorbed add more seeds.  The more salt you add the saltier the seeds will come out.  Once the seeds have absorbed all the oil and your salt has dissolved with the seeds put them on cookie sheets so they are only a single layer.  Then put them in your oven on the lowest temp you have.  Every half hour or so stir them around.  Bake for a good 2 1/2 to 3 hours till crunchy.  You can now eat them seeds husks and all and get your fiber or crack them .

If you do not want the oil and salt just leave them on cookie sheets to air dry for a few days still stiring them twice a day.  A single layer still works best.

There you go! We just bought two new tires for the steer axle on our car. They are Bridgestones. I asked my son when he bought them if they were made in China. He said he looked and he didn't see a little gold "made in China" sticker on them. 

So I don't know where they were made. I understand Firestone, Cooper, Goodyear, and BRIDGESTONE are all mostly made in China.
