No Rose I thought of you when I saw this picture. I don't know why, not that you look like the lady, more I thought of your husband.

Now how do you know I don't look like the lady?
Cause you are much younger and prettier than the lady in the picture.
Why thank-you, though I do think I have a pair of earings like she is wearing

I keep hearing this hammering sound outside and it was driving me crazy.

Turns out it is d*mn ACORNS dropping on the car ports. Can't get away from those acorns.  Monkey Devil!

On a windy fall or winter night in Mobile, you could hear the acorns durmming on the roof constantly. The next day you would go out, and the ground would literally be so covered you couldn't walk.  When we lived where pecans trees were, it would be the same thing. You have to pick pecans up in a hurry, because they will go rancid on the ground. I miss my oak and pecan trees.
Ms Fanny I have Giant Oaks surrounding Me house -they are so Tall that I get Dizzy trying to see the tops of them. I have though " Squirrels in abundance" in my yard .. they eat everything.. and they also throw down their left over twigs, leaves, branches etc.. all year round from their " Condo's " they build .. onto my lawn.  I want to show you a pic of my One giant Maple in my yard. Was taken last year. It is just now turning from deep green to a slight lime ...towards yellow. Its my fave tree in my yard - right smack in the center of things. It is so high in height though you cannot see the top of it .......

I love trees! That is just beautiful.  an angelic monkey

In Alabama, we had those massive oak tree who's branches were so outgrowing a squirrel could go from neighborhood to neighborhood without ever touching the ground. I once lived in a two story house, and would love to look out my bedroom window, which faced the street, and watch them go along the oak tree highway. I have seen a grown squirrel take her babies one at a time to a new location. I miss my big trees. We have beautiful maples here, though. I love them too.
I am glad to be somewhere where there are real seasons. I could do without the snow, but I have learned to live with it.

Year of Karma ~ 2009

All my Squirrels are "Tarzan's and Janes" they hop from tree to tree too and they swing from the branches when they are playing ... I love to watch them. I love my Squirrels. I did feed them and name them up until a year ago. I had three places that I fed them daily with feed from the pet food store. Then I got hit with a Red Tail hawk ..and it started using my yard as a feeding ground. OMG ..so I had to stop feeding the squirrels and birdies because the Hawk was patrolling and killing ...then I got Deenie my pup last year and I knew she could possibly fall victim .. due to her itty bitty size. I still worry because she is full grown now and is only 7lbs. I worry that the Hawk will come back. I saw him/her 3 times this spring circling my backyard ... Uggh.

I had nothing to go bang with. I was thinking maybe I'll run and go into someone's gate, but then was afraid to run, thinking he would chase after us. I will carry a big stick with me when it is dark, only reason I haven't is if one attacks I would be afraid I would panic and start beating Zoe by mistake

Do you have a favorite NFL team?

No.
I really need to get out of this cheerleader outfit, the draft up my skirt is he!!

your avi is so cute, though.
I like the Redskins but they suck.
Cowboys play tonight at the new "Death Star" arena. That's what they call it here cause it looks like some Star Wars contraption.

So, GO NY Giants!!!!!!   Monkey Devil!

Fanny just saw your Morning Glory's within your Garden ...they are loverly.
When I was a girl I had " Morning Glory" wallpaper in my bedroom. I picked it out when I was about 7 yrs old.. because my Dad always called me His Morning Glory ....... yep. The wall paper and your photo not too far off. When my Dad died I asked the Florist for Morning Glory's and he said " they are out of season" and he could not get them in a moments notice.

Not any of my post to be SAD - not at all. I just had to say THANK You for your photos. Your Photos Put a Huge Smile on My Face.

I love Northerns photo Lizard Turtle ?? mmm what ever it was - SO Awe and amazing.

I'm glad you liked them. It's getting cooler every day, so I don't think they will be there much longer.  Next summer I am going to find some four'o'clocks MORNING GLORIES to mix in with them. My daddy always loved the four o' clocks too. I have a Serenity Prayer picture I cross stitched hanging on my bedroom wall, and there is a border of four-o-clocks all the way around it. I should read the prayer more often.

self edit, sorry

Dammit!!!! Four O' Clocks!!! Morning Glories are on my cross stitch picture too!!! I am an idiot!!!

Got back from groceries and Walmart, the man cashier at Walmart kept talking to me about the birdfeeder I bought, at least I think he was  he went on and on, and the only word I figured out was hummingbird. I kept saying yes, yes, have no idea what I was saying yes to

He said, I have a humming bird in my pocket and I will be over tomorrow to unleash it is that okay?  No Rose answered, yes, yes, yes!

Monkey Devil! Sounds like the guy I saw this morning when I was walking Josef. All I understood was pet, nice and energetic.

He said I like heavy petting and would like to come over your apartment, wouldn't that be nice?  You better rest up tonight as I am very energetic and hope you are too.  JSM said, yes, yes, yes!
