Biden can barely get up anymore to clap. Nancy keeps giving him a dirty look, so he finally gets up. He looks like he will need a wheelchair to get out of there.

Hi Fanny and No Rosie!!!

I was just leaving something for Trimm to see in the morning.  I flipped the cart around so it is driving forward (sort of).

Thank-you never heard of that, I will get some at the store    Now my dad called and said I'm in the Green Bay Hospital I had a car accident, I said why in the he!! were you in Green Bay? He says I'm just kidding  I was backing out of the drive way and the brakes didn't work, and I landed in the neighbor's driveway across the street and his car stopped me. All I need is a new fender, and the car repair shop is looking over the car to see why the brakes failed. I have had it, from all the stress my irritable bowel has been acting up for days and I've been vomiting, I really don't appreciate calls like this, I'm mad  I can't even laugh anymore

77 but he doesn't look or act his age. He acts and looks younger.

I am from Canada and we have a different system here. It's all under the Canada Health Act. It's been this way since about 1970 ?
Anyway, when I go to see a doctor, say for a first time visit for some health issue, I pay nothing. ( well, I do pay in taxes and I pay for some extras at work ) .The doctor's office bills the government based on a fee schedule. This way, what the doctor can charge is capped. When this was first introduced, the doctors threatened to go out on strike.

Any cosmetic procedures are not covered. We have stand alone clinics for plastic surgery that is cosmetic. Some doctors do both types. I have had to pay the skin doctor.

Sounds good, eh ? Now the problem is that we have ppl showing up at ER's for minor issues or going to five different doctors for the same thing ( get drugs ) and some of the waiting times are horrendous. There isn't alot of cash in family medince any more, so there is a shortage of those types of doctors.

I wish I knew what the price of a few things were, so we could comparison

It is frightening to us here in the states because the government seems to screw everything up they touch, and it costs more, and takes longer everytime they get involved.

There are so many beaurocrats that have no worrry about their jobs, because they are not elected, and don't have to answer to the public and are almost impossible to fire, even for obvious laziness or poor job performance. Once legislation is in place, it is impossible to stop. It just goes on and on and cost more and more money. These unelected people have all the clout. Even the ones we elected, don't care once they are in office. They don't have the same health care as we do anyhow.

My grown son, who is a college student and left a  job and lucarative insurance, cannot get decent insurance because he is pre-diabetic. The only thing he can get is student insurance, it is about $400 a quarter, and hardly pays anything. It would be wonderful if he could get decent insurance.

But even he, does not want the public option. He just wants insurance, affordable insurance. If the government would help with that, it would be wonderful. But he doesn't want to have insurance if the same government is going to make money choices, and say me and his step father are too old to take care of. When the money gets short, that is what is going to happen. Exit stategies. There are people that think my hubby and I should be left to die anyhow, we are no longer "productive." That is the delima.

Whew! Just caught up! Thank you to all who wished my daughter well today. The ride there took longer than the entire procedure. She is medicated and sleeping, and after watching the hearing today, I think she's going to be minus a few! jk

I usually try not to comment on any American political issues. Canadian for that matter either. The point of my last post was to just inform what it is like here. Our system has many flaws and we do have a health care crisis as there are not enough resouces available for people who need it. And we have an a population that is getting older and they require more care. But, I have been fortunate in that for many years I was never seriously ill. No broken bones, no accidents, no biggie injuries, just the usual colds, flu, stomach aches, etc.

I understand that, KAT. I have no idea what all you have to go through up there. I was just explaining what all the whoop is down here. We have had a big change in policy, and it doesn't appear to me that they have the American public interest at heart. I am afraid we are in for a long, bad period.

It isn't just the Healthcare policy. It just seems like the common man is under siege right now. I understand. I wouldn't want to delve into your politics either.

Precious picture, GIZZIE. I really like squirrels, and like to feed them too. They are little thieves at the bird feeders, but they are tenacious. They make me laugh.

I'm glad you daughter is ok, and made the dental trip alright. I am sure it was worse on you than it was on her.

Our resources here are strained. ICU's are full, so are Emergency Rooms.

I hear what you are saying about getting the government and the rest of them involved. We have had several big piles exposed about mis use of funds and all of that.
