Skanky would be jealous. We are having salmon patties for dinner. Even though it is officially my birthday, I am cooking since my son outdid himself yesterday. I'll be lurking. 

That sounds real good, did you have your birthday cake yesterday or today?

Yummy.I'll take 2 patties,a piece of cake and a Miller Light.   

Would you like a green salad, cheese mashed potatoes, and a couple of fresh dinner rolls with that order?

Tomorrow we'll have chili and cornbread (NORTHERN ROSE'S bacon cheese recipe) sweet tea, and I know I have forgotten something. 

I'll take whatever is handy.

As a birthday present to myself, I have shaved my legs, given myself a pedi (while I am still able to reach my toes) and a mani. I also had a facial, and even plucked my eyebrows. Can't take the hot wax. I have worn my best two casual outfits for the past couple of days, and have worn a bra all day. I figured if I am a year older, I should certainly not look it by sagging.I have even worn makeup for two days.

So I am feeling pretty good about all of it. I just don't know if I am going to keep this bra wearing up for much longer. That is probably more info than anyone needs. Anyhow, I'm planning to enjoy it all.

Son just walked in....so I'll BBL.

WASHINGTON -- Law enforcement agents have raided residences in New York City as part of a terrorism investigation, and are preparing to brief Congress about the investigation.

New York Police Department spokesman Paul Browne confirms that searches were conducted in the borough of Queens on Monday by agents of a joint terrorism task force. He would not discuss the matter further.

Separately, federal authorities planned to brief senior lawmakers in Congress on the case later Monday.

Tevye has a meltdown after attending Fanny's B-Day party.

(actually, I spent my day WORKING (yeah, we do have a business for me to help run) and didn't get dressed till 5 pm (hubby said going to Subway in my nightgown and knee socks wasn't gonna cut it!). But yeah, that's how I feel!

A report from the Florida Department of Law does not support claims made by a teenage runaway that her Muslim father would kill her for converting to Christianity.

A Florida judge is deciding whether 17-year-old Fathima Bary, who is known as Rifqa, should be returned to Ohio. She is currently in foster care in Florida. The girl ran away from her parents' suburban Columbus home in July, saying she feared being killed for changing religions. She has said her father had threatened to kill her with a lap top and that Islamic law requires he kill her.

Gov. Charlie Crist asked the FDL to investigate that claim and the FDLE said it found no assault charges filed against Mohamed Bary and no derogatory information against him.

The Barys have repeatedly denied threatening their daughter, saying that they love her and want her to come home.
