You just have to turn your head for a minute with little ones and terrible things can happen. When my youngest was four, my two and a couple neighborhood kids were by our garage, I yelled everyone I'm shutting the garage and they all got out of the way. My youngest was on somekind of bouncing ball, I can't even remember the name of it, and bounced under the garage door. The garage door failed and didn't go back up, and came down and smashed her head. I was home alone with them and went nuts, blood was so bad from her head, I still too this day don't remember how I drove her to the emergency room, but I did get there. When they asked me her birthdate, I didn't know, I was just nuts, my six year old had to tell them. They told me it looked a whole lot worse then it was  and stitched up her head. I hate automatic garage doors, I really do. Sometimes I wonder if some of her problems, was from that hit on the head, I always felt such guilt, there was nothing I could do, I screamed but the door hit her

OMG!! My hubby almost got caught by ours one day. He doesn't move very fast and I just gave him a shove and sent him sprawling. He was skinned up a little, but otherwise unhurt. Me? I was a basket case!

I just heard on HLN the escapee mental patient in Spokane was "non-compliant" taking his meds, and they still took him on a "field" trip to the fair anyway. He had a backpack, a guitar in a case, and a rusty sickle with him. WTH!!!
Doesn't everyone carry a rusty sickle with them?    I want to know what these jackazzes were thinking, I guess they weren't.

I think they need to check these handlers for mental issues themselves. What were they thinking????

Bubba reminds me all the time NRCG that I'm the one who tripped him and made him fall into the bunk bed ladder when he was going for a layup.  And when I threw the kick ball at his feet to get him out and made him fly head first into a parked car, knocking out the two front teeth (baby ones, thank the lord).  And also reminding me that I worry "all the time".  I told him, that's my job!

Accident's do happen all the time, nothing you can do about them but do what you can.

So true Lovin about accidents. My nephew was dragged 100 yards by a horse and thrown into a fence when he was 4, he bit his tongue in two they did surgery and didn't realize that he had a fractured skull until he told me one night to feel his tomato head. Poor baby had a HUGE hematoma and I got him to our office to x ray his head and he was sent straight off to the CT. Then the neurologist that told him he fell off a barber's chair as a kid and see I became a doctor. My nephew has never had any problems since, except he will not go near a horse.

What's new Fanny?  Unfortunately I don't have the time to keep up on the goins ons in JSM's banning thread.  Just peek my head in to say hello.  Are you all keep on keeping on?  Your mums blooming?  Gone apple picking?

No mums, no apple picking. My back is giving me fits! We have mostly been over on Haleigh's thread the past few days.

I'm sorry to hear your back is bothering you.  I'll say a prayer for healing for you and all those suffering.  God bless Haleigh.  Haven't followed that train wreck case but do pray for her little soul every night & Jr's.
