BRANFORD -  Raymond Clark III, a "person of interest" in the slaying of Yale graduate student Annie Le, took an interest in Asian cultures while he was in high school, according to a yearbook.

Clark, 24, is a 2004 graduate of Branford High School. According to the 2004 yearbook, Clark was a member of the Asian Awareness Club, which prepared meals of authentic Asian cuisine and held fundraisers to raise awareness about Asian culture. On Jan. 22, 2004, the group went to New York City's Chinatown to participate in the celebration of the Chinese New Year, according to the yearbook.

He also belonged to the Interact Club, whose mission was to draw attention to the plight of the less fortunate. In one fundraising activity, the group slept outside overnight in cardboard boxes, according to the yearbook.

Clark was also part of a group called "Cheers For Charity," a club that sought to help people with financial problems. The group raised money for cancer victims and single pregnant women.

He played on the 2004 varsity baseball team as well.

Well, from those remarks it doesn't sound like he was anti social, or an outcast.  Very strange. I wonder what attracked him to the Asian culture??

Hromadka continued to blast rumors of a "fling" and say that the reason she and Clark were not living together at the time was for "financial reasons."      Call me crazy, but usually you would be living together because of financial reasons, one rent instead of two. She can blast rumors of a fling all she wants, I don't believe her, and I bet she has some strong jealousy issues as well.
[/quote

Hromadka discounted fling rumors in May '08.  That was quite a long time ago.
I'm wondering if Clark seemed preoccupied with Annie and that's how rumors started back in May '08 or before.
Maybe she was living with her parents, rent free.  Cheaper than paying half or third (if older man living with).  I don't know.

I could see your point about that but the only way that would help financially is if they had someone else to take over her share of the rent.  Since they were supposed to be saving for their wedding, they wouldn't be saving as much if he was still having to pay the her portion of the rent after she left.

Yes, that's true.  Why didn't I think of that? lol
I'm interested that the "fling" rumor happened so long ago.  Maybe Clark had issues with women and authority figures.  Annie who was a step up the ladder from him...or maybe he was obsessed with her.

Atty: Tech questioned in Yale killing to cooperate

The Associated Press

An attorney for a Yale University lab technician called a "person of interest" in the killing of graduate student Annie Le says his client is willing to work with authorities.

Attorney David Dworski (DWAR'-ski), of Fairfield, tells The Associated Press that he represents 24-year-old Raymond Clark III. Clark was released early Wednesday by police who executed two search warrants to collect DNA and other physical evidence from Clark and his apartment.

Dworski says Clark is "committed to proceeding appropriately with the authorities." He would not comment further.

Clark worked in the lab where Le, of Placerville, Calif., disappeared Sept. 8. Her body was found five days later, stuffed behind a wall in the laboratory, on what was to be her wedding day.

My boyfriend, Ray, if you don't know him, has no interest in any of the other girls at YARC as anything more than friends," Hromadka wrote, referring to the Yale Animal Resources Center. "To anyone that thinks otherwise, you might be a bit dillusional and may need to take some medication for it."

Hromadka, 23, described her live-in beau -- who works in the same Yale lab as her boyfriend -- as a gullible but loving guy who has eyes for no one but her.                  Okay here I go again, please who believes this kind of BS. Something isn't quite right with this girl.

"She described the man as being white and of "medium build." He wore glasses and had reddish brown hair."  The woman who said this person who held the door open for her, and there was some blood on him. While looking at photos of Clark, one of the photos jumped out at me, while his hair is dark, the beard appeared to be reddish brown, or my eyes are really going
