250 seized items for processing     That sure seems like a lot.

Raymond Clark, the lab tech who police have labeled a "person of interest" in the murder of Yale grad student Annie Le, has wounds on his chest, arms and back, sources told ABC News.

The deep scratches came to light as the Connecticut medical examiner released Le's cause of death to be strangulation, or it was officially described as "traumatic asphyxia due to neck compression."

Police identify Yale lab technician Raymond Clark as a person of interest.Sources also said investigators are finding evidence that the pint-sized scientist who only weight 90 pounds put up a fierce struggle with her attacker.

Blood splatter were found on a laundry cart and a bead from her necklace was found on the floor of the basement lab where she was killed and stuffed into a wall panel.

ABC News has also learned that Clark sent a text message to Le early Tuesday, Sept. 8, requesting a meeting to discuss the cleanliness of research mice, with which Le was working and the cages of which Clark cleaned.

Annie Le's 'Person of Interest' Had Scratches on Chest, Arms, Back

<snip>
Avery told ABCNews.com today that authorities didn't start focusing on the lab until a few days after Le was reported missing. Police were initially unsure, he said, if she had disappeared voluntarily before her wedding, or if she had been a crime victim.
<snip>

There is a world of difference between that crazy, runaway bride and from Annie Le.  And Annie Le was seen going in to the building but never seen coming out.  I can't believe this.  I'll just bet Yale didn't want to close down the building.  It would be bad PR.  I have a feeling there has been and is a lot of CYA involving Yale.  JMHO

Thanks to all for the updates. Why in the hell have they let him go? And what does it mean his whereabouts are know all day, the day of the murder?  I am really confused. Bloody clothes found. Blood on a cart and a bead from Annie's necklace. He has scratches, bruises. I am no CSI but I do know that blood could have been matched by now!!

Police: 2 more warrants served in Yale killing

By RAY HENRY and MICHAEL HILL (AP) – 15 minutes ago

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Police say they have served two more search warrants on a Yale University lab technician called a "person of interest" in the killing of a graduate student whose body was found stuffed behind the wall of a campus research building.

New Haven Police Chief James Lewis says the warrants are for a Ford Mustang belonging to Raymond Clark III and for other undisclosed items. He says police are processing about 250 items in the case.

Lewis says Clark and several other people are under constant surveillance.
He says charges will be filed against anyone whose DNA matches evidence found at the crime scene.

The state medical examiner says Le was suffocated to death.
