I ordered my very first crockpot, who is going to give me a really good recipe to try out?

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

4lb pork butt or shoulder roast
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup chili sauce
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp chopped onions
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp ground mustard
1 clove garlic, minced
dash cayenne pepper

Combine all crockpot and Cook on High heat for 4 hours, medium for 6 hours or until meat shreds easily. Remove meat, and shred with two forks. Put meat back into crockpot and continue to cook for about 1/2 - 1 hour on Medium.   Serve on buns.

Mouth Watering Meat Loaf

2 eggs
3/4 cup milk
2/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs (if you do not have seasoned breadcrumbs use regular breadcrumbs and add 2 tsp Lawry's seasonimg salt, 1 tsp Italian seasoning, 2 tsp garlic powder and a dash of thyme.)
2 teaspoons  minced onion
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground  sage
1 1/2 pounds ground beef

1/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Combine the first six ingredients in a large bowl.  Crumble beef over mixture and mix well (mixture will be moist.) Shape into a round loaf; place in a 5-qt. slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees F.

Sweet topping:
In a small bowl, whisk the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Spoon over the meat loaf. Cook 15 minutes longer or until heated through. Let stand for 10-15 minutes before cutting.

If you do not wish a sweet topping then spoon ketchup over meatloaf and cook for the additional 15 minutes.  Let rest for 10-15 mins before cutting.

I wanted to come here and say for "anyone" that feels that it was wrong for me to post the picture over in JSM.s thread of my son, well I dont see a problem with it, he is a 25 year old Correctional officer and Auxillary police volunteer and he also is a proffessional photographer, his picture is posted in a lot of places because he has a Photography page that he does his business out of and I dont think he is in danger of being kidnapped or anything else.  His my space page is not private and so I dont see a problem and I can assure you that he is indeed MY SON...I posted his picture because others were showing there sons picture and it was kinda a joke because I said do you want to see a picture of my baby boy and thats why I posted it, just a joke and having a conversation with a fellow poster. no big deal.....

HH, he's an adult and likely has his photo all over the place.  I don't see what the big deal is, you did nothing wrong.

Hi GE!!

I think I had the dishwasher too crammed with dishes and it just knocked against something in the wash cycle. I don't know but it coame out that way!

I didn't see it, and was drinking coffee when I felt it on my lip. I love those mugs! The handles are big, and they stay cool when you reheat coffee. ( I do that a lot ).

So sorry CBB....you can have one that says Mere...!

Awwww, Mere, THANK YOU!!!  Mere, did you know you have a Halloween avi in my thread? Here it is, if you should want one!

I don't wear a two piece suit anymore.

Nether should Mallory or Cindy. Just sayin'......................

Cindy's not overweight, but her tummy is just too squishy, and Mallory, well, Mallory just shouldn't.

I'm sure they make suits with support and uplift, and Cindy should check it out.

I got bounced out of the cage twice.

Please don't talk about this in the thread. I have learned the hard way.  I am ok. I will log off, and that way no one shouldn't have a problem.   an angelic monkey

NR - thanks for the two recipes.    I'm going to make the BBQ Pork tomorrow.   I'm going to use my Splenda Brown Sugar instead of regular brown sugar, though.     I know it will taste fantastic!

HH, I personally don't see that you did anything wrong or anything to put anyone in danger.  Sorry I missed seeing the picture. I am sure you are, rightfully so very proud of him!  He has accomplished a lot for his 25 years.
