That happened to me once! Be sure to check out your PayPal, ebay, and other accounts! When it happened to me, I couldn't get into my ebay account and when I contacted them, they asked if I had just listed two CARS!!    My e-mail was the first sign something was wrong. I wasn't receiving any e-mail, although I could send it. Someone had cracked my password and had changed settings to redirect or forward my mail to their own e-mail address. From there, they were able to change my password on ebay and list the cars. I used the same password on both accounts, and received no notice of the auction because they were getting my mail. They made the listing short; 3 days, and had a really slick ad under my ebay name and good rating.

I have different, long, and mixed letters and numbers passwords on every online account I have now. It's identity theft, and you need to prosecute. Your e-mail service can help and will even persue it for you. Sorry it happened, Jackie. I know how frustrating and scarey that is!

If it's hotmail, I read that 10,000 accounts were hacked and the passwords were listed on a website somewhere (last night iirc).  It was a Dutch article.  I don't know where the passwords were posted, but I'll see if I can find the article again.

"I can look back over the past 10 years and there were no steps wasted, and there are no regrets,'' she said. "I did all I knew to do and I think that gives me greater peace now." "I've lived every parent's worst nightmare and I'm the parent that nobody wants to be," she said.

Widespread cracking hotmail accounts

AMSTERDAM - The password of more than 10,000 users Hotmail is no longer secret. Their account was hacked and an online forum for software manufacturers their password was published.

According to Neowin, the website listing available on Friday www.pastebin.com, but can no longer be accessed. Most accounts would come from Europe.
"We will investigate the situation and as soon as possible the necessary steps, let Microsoft know one spokesman.
Neowin advises to hotmail users change their password immediately.

I'm not sure, if it was someone that knows me, it's my own fault, because it wasn't too hard to figure out.  It's changed now.

No, that's what they made ME feel like, and they look like what I would like to do to them!

Of course, the ones I ate were so old they were probably on their last legs anyway.
