Jackie....two of us use the same recipe for crockpot roast.....and it is sooooo easy.

1 roast...any kind that will fit your crockpot
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 can of french onion soup
3 or so garlic pieces - cut in half
a little salt and pepper

Cut small slits in roast and stuff with garlic.....lightly salt and pepper roast....Put roast in crockpot....mix soups together and pour over roast....turn crockpot to high for 4 hours or so....but, even better, cook on low for 8 hours or so.

You can add some canned carrots and potatoes during the last hour to heat the veggies.  I serve over
rice as the soups make a great gravy.  The roast will mostly fall apart.

Thank You!!  I bought a roast while I was at the store today - didn't know for sure what I was going to do with it - this sounds like an excellent idea.

This sounds great! I'm going to Wal-mart tonight; I'll get a roast!

I think I just asked a logical question. I was just wondering why someone would do that.

I think way back when, things could be ordered from Cafe Press, like tee shirts, night shirts, and IIRC, the mugs.  When Klaasend isn't busy, we can check with her.  I still have my SM cookbook, and besides the great recipes monkeys sent in, it's a walk down memory lane reading the names and such.

The picture of the laundry bag today was very upsetting. I pray for all of us to stay strong. Justice will come for Caylee.  an angelic monkey

I think you are being kind to me. I think you know exactly why I was asking the question. I guess I am due a sting, or a big slap, but it just doesn't make sense to me to permanently post pictures of your own children on the thread, no matter how old they are. It seems you are just asking for trouble when you do that, unless they are not your own children to begin with. JMO

Yes, I was upset by the laundry bag and the new pic of Caylee with the bruise on her face. There seems to be never ending insults to contend with.

Hi everyone!  Those recipe's sound do gooood!  Think I'll try some of them in pressure cooker, (since I don't have a crock pot) on low with a few splashes of wine added.

Kat_gram had her day surgery today and I hope she is resting comfortably at home.

I ordered my very first crockpot, who is going to give me a really good recipe to try out?

http://www.50plusfriends.com/cookbook/crockpot/index-5b.html

There's a ton of recipes here. I've used a few already.

  Thank You Gizzie

I'll go look now.

As a quick test you can try this:

2-3 skinless boneless chicken breasts
1 can cream of mushroom soup

I tried this the other day with a mini crock pot I purchased.  I just put it on high for a few hours then turned it down and cooked for the rest of the day.  Probably cooked about 10 hours total.  Chicken fell apart easy and it was great on rice.  You can add vegetables if you want towards the end of the cooking cycle just to heat through.

I actually made this today, but I had double the chicken, so I used 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup, and 2 cups of rice, with a packet of onion soup mix on top. I did it like Klaas said, few hours on high then probably 2-3 more on low, and it was yummy!

I love foods that cook themselves! The hardest part is making sure I'm awake early enough to get it started at a decent hour.

I wanted to come here and say for "anyone" that feels that it was wrong for me to post the picture over in JSM.s thread of my son, well I dont see a problem with it, he is a 25 year old Correctional officer and Auxillary police volunteer and he also is a proffessional photographer, his picture is posted in a lot of places because he has a Photography page that he does his business out of and I dont think he is in danger of being kidnapped or anything else.  His my space page is not private and so I dont see a problem and I can assure you that he is indeed MY SON...I posted his picture because others were showing there sons picture and it was kinda a joke because I said do you want to see a picture of my baby boy and thats why I posted it, just a joke and having a conversation with a fellow poster. no big deal.....
