Letter From Stepmom's Friend Released In Haleigh Case

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- A new development may explain why investigators in Putnam County drained a five-acre pond over the weekend to find Haleigh Cummings.

A letter was written by Kristina Prevatt (read letter), one of Misty Cummings' friends who is in jail. In the letter signed, "naynay," Prevatt told her boyfriend that investigators questioned her about Haliegh's disappearance. According to the letter, investigators also told Prevatt that a friend revealed Haleigh died from taking Oxycontin, they got scared and dumped her in a pond by Mondex Lake.

However, investigators did not find anything during last week's search of the area.

Misty Cummings told police that she and 6-year-old Haleigh were sleeping that February night in the Putnam County home, but investigators have repeatedly said there are holes in her story.

Jill, I was going to keep quiet .. but I can not, he was 17 or 18 at his arrest/incarceration. I read somewhere that she was held captive for several hours and brutally raped. It was very traumatic and said to be a terribly brutal act. I find it disgusting to make light of a rape victim and the brutal attack she went through.  Even if it is Misty.....they do not sentence someone like that with no evidence.

If you look at his bdate, he wsa 16 at the age of the arrest, and we really don't know what happened only rumors from a proven liar. Maybe she was brutally raped, maybe she got caught playing kissing cousins, but she is a proven liar and even tried to say WBG raped her..........It's just hard for me to not to discount her stories when so many have been FOS

and again, they do NOT give kissing cousins 8 years in prison. and no, I read my info on another site and I would like to see where the person who knows the family has been proven to be a liar?  I am not going by what misty said. Request the records and see for yourself, but even in black and white, your hatred for her would prevent you from seeing the truth in the reports. I will say again, I find it disgusting to make light of the brutal rape of a 12 year old. even if it is Misty. Maybe the tale about WBG is not true, but you show me proof that at 12 years old,she lied about a brutal rape.... Good day Monkeys.. I can not stand to watch this..

Oh, I'm positive that was directed at me, and I was just stating that Misty's stories of who have messed with her are becoming harder and harder to believe after she claimed that WBG raped her while she was on her 3 day drug and sex binge, when everyone else stated that was absolutely not the case that it was indeed consensual. After a while it becomes like the boy who cried wolf IMO.

i found a court record that i cannot access without paying for that lists Lisa Croslin, Misty Croslin, and Jeremy Miller, from 2005.  Does anyone know who Jeremy Miller is?

I believe its the guy that Misty chargd with rape or molestation when she was younger..........I swear that girl has been raped so many times seems like to me she would be afraid to even look at a guy......

the record I found was from 2005.  She would have been around 12 years old.

  I think she was 13, and IIRC we wasn't much older..........need to go look back in our archives as I remember this really stood out due to the ages of both being prety young.

yes, i found one of your own posts IM, with a link his booking info (no longer valid) - and then I found an old WS link to the Flagler Cty records that has the docket (or part of it) that says he is a minor.

I did the same and couldn't find it either But, when he was incarcerated he was 16  (from our archives), so I'm not sure what age the "rape/molestation" occured and I have always thought it was more like kisssing cousins until momma found out, and especially after I saw the video of Misty showing Hank her engagement ring and it looked like she was flirting with him and he blew her off.

i do know that.

but, maybe (and this is just a maybe and I am not a pyschologist) after this horrible event, she learned from it that one way to remove a man from her life (or to cover her rear) would be to accuse him of inapprpriate behavior.

not saying she lied about Jeremy because I doubt very seriously that this guy ( a minor) would be serving over 8 years of hard time unless their was physical evidence.

But maybe Misty learned some negative things from that and it wouldn't be uncommon.
