JSM'S BEGGING FOR BANNING THREAD # 5

Hope everyone is having a nice afternoon, it's hot, I'm crabby, and my thoughts aren't good   

I hope you have a good afternoon too No Rose. Its hot here and I am crabby too. Why are you having bad thoughts? 

Just that I'm losing my patience, and arguing with my dad about the cane    Now he promises to go to the doctor and get one, I tell you he is stubborn

Its been a pretty day here, but cooler. We have been outside picking the last of the tomatoes and then pulling up the plants. They have gotten scaggly, and too many tomatoes are ending up on the ground and getting rotten on one side. So now we have a counter full of green tomatoes. Most will go ahead and ripen there, some will get fried.

Our sunflowers are down too. I read on the seed package and realized it was a hybrid for flowers, instead of for seeds. All the seeds were empty, and the heads started to rot and cause fruit flies. They were pretty flowers, but I will be more careful when I pick the seeds for them next time.

I have been hopping around the threads, mostly lurking. 

NOROSE, what are you having bad thoughts about? I hope it is just the threads, and not something going on with you. 

Thanks, no I'm just losing my patience and am crabby and short with people, tomorrow will be better I hope, it will just be my dad and I, my husband and daughter will be at work.

Fanny I went to Mass today with my Dad and Step mom.

  She is going to start RCIA classes at the church near their new apartment complex and hopefully convert!!! Please pray for her when you can. This is my Grandma's (Dad's mom) daily prayer.  TIA JSM 

I meant scraggly!!! I think the threads have gotten to me today too..

That is great news for you. I know your Grandma is smiling down from heaven today.

You know the canes are adjustable. You can buy one at the drug store and adjust it to his comfort. Enjoy your dinner.

OMG,    My downstairs neighbor just came up to tell me she was out last night and was slipped a  roofie? at a club. She was robbed and raped. She just got back home. She is all tore up from concrete cuts and has broken ribs. Please pray for her. She is very sweet and kind to me and Josef. TIA JSM

So, take him to the doctor while he is there and all will be okay. Don't let him say he will do it when he gets home.

  What the H*LL am I thinking, take him down to the pharmacy, they sell them and know how to size them.

Tell him it is either a cane, a walker or a hoveround, it is his decision. I guarantee you he will go with the quad cane.

Thanks Fanny for the prayers. The threads have gotten to me as well. I think I will go back to lurking in them. I like scraggy better as a word. It is cute.

Gizzie, the feelings you are having are perfectly normal. Your daughter is proof that you have done your job well as she is ready to exert her independence. Do not be surprised if these emotions ambush you at the strangest times. I had a hard time when our one and only child left home for college. He and I have always been close, but my husband had a difficult time also. I think we both knew that our lives would never be the same. The day before he moved out, hubby and I stopped at the grocery to get ingreients to make his favorite - chocolate chip cookies. I put a gallon of milk in my shopping cart and burst into tears. My husband was  and it was a few minutes before I could tell him what was wrong. I said "I'll never need to buy another gallon of milk!" Hubby  had tears in his eyes as well because it had started to sink in that our lives were going to change. That has been a number of years ago and the 3 of us laugh about that now. He lives 500 miles away and when he comes home I still bake cookies and for a short time I buy a gallon of milk. You will adjust and it does get easier. Thankfully, she won't be that far away. You are having these feelings because you love being a Mom. The good news is, that doesn't stop when they leave home. Blessings to you and to all who have a Mom's heart.

Blumonkey, this brought tears to my eyes! Wow! 500 miles away! I guess I should be thankful she will only be 10 minutes from me. You gave me a good idea, to do some baking before she leaves. I haven't baked homemade in a few years, but when she was younger, she always loved to help me. And at Christmas time, we would all do the tree, and she's promised me she will be here this year too! You're right, I love being a mom! And thank you for reminding me!

Yeah Fanny I think the flower season is over - I watered yesterday it is pouring rain here and windy as all get out as well it is coooooled way down I will have to strip them naked this week.  I am glad to know about the sunflower seeds - wow - I love the flowers they produce and have wanted to add some to an area in our yard but would definitely want the seeds - I will remember what you said.  Thanks for the info.

We just got a high wind warning here for tomorrow. It was the same kind of warning we got right before the big windstorm last year. They promised it wouldn't be as bad this time, but I have my doubts.... Glad we got some of the dead stuff down today in the garden.

NoRose our weather turned to a very cold windy as heck and rainy day - it just started about a half an hour ago - I came in threw in a roast and I am not doing anything more if I dont have to today........are you having bad thoughts about Lindsey?  I was just there reading and I am shocked and sick - I don't know much about the players in that case but who is MM?  Is DD skye?  AKA as Platinum Skye?

DD is Skye, I'm not sure about the AKA Platinum Skye.  MM is Melissa MaCann, I'm sorry I didn't spell her last name right, but anyway this Melissa and Melissa, Lindsey's mom has been friends for quite sometime, back I could be wrong high school. MM owns some type of Dollar Store in Elma, and Lindsey considers her like an Aunt. Something is way off, I have felt from the beginning that it wasn't how it appeared. Now I'm even more convinced of it.    Your weather sounds lovely, I know that sounds crazy, but after all this heat, cold and windy and rainy sounds great. Though I know there is a long winter ahead, and how depressing that gets after awhile 

Thank you NoRose for explaining that to me - that is very interesting yet disturbing.  The weather is def getting cooler - I don't mind that part but the rain and wind today was hateful the good thing is when you get that kind of weather it is nice to be inside and relax.

OMG did they catch the person who raped and robbed her???  I will definitely say a prayer for her that is terrible!!!!

Blumonkey, Thank you. You said it so much better than I could have. It's hard when our children leave home. Wether we thinks it's a good reason or not. All we can do is be there to give them support when they need it.
Gizzie I know it's easy to say. As you are hurting right now, but it does get better with time you are still her mom and she will always be your daughter. I had all mine together for the first time in two years  last month for 4 days. I cherished every minute we had together & I spoiled them rotten.

Green Eyes, Thank you for your words too! My son had actually said to me "you're still her mom, mom", lol. Silly boy! I told him "I'm gonna feel the same way when you move out", altho I think I'll be ready for that one!

Gizzie, hugs. I left home for a boy one time, took a while, but came back home to my mama.

Her brother is happy as he is getting her room now. He's always gotten stuck with the small room, and always thought it wasn't fair. He keeps telling me to stop trying to make her feel bad so she won't change her mind. He really wants that room! 

When she comes back like I did, give her the little room. That's what my parents did. 

Yup! She knows that. She tried the "but my bed won't fit in that room"...Guess she'll be needing a smaller bed.
