[Northern Rose]

Fanny - glad to see you this morning.  Hope you start feeling better  Did you try the salmon cake recipe?

What a crappy weather day here, it snowed and rained last night.  I managed to get the front lawn vacuumed and bagged before the flurries started.  Really put a chill through the bones.  Hubby was playing with the snowblower all day yesterday.  No clue why as he can not use it because of his back and it is just too darn heavy for me to push around - I shovel everything unless there is a big dump, then my neighbours come and dig me out.

Geese have been gathering in the fields.  They are flying so low right now you can count the feathers on their butts.  I want to knock a few out of the air for thanksgiving next week   

Speaking of butt - love you pumpkin butt with guest owl!

Thanks, I love the little owl too, but I think he draws too much attention to my butt!   

I can't remember what we had that night, as it was the night my back was screaming so. I think my son brought home seafood platters from Captain D's. I still have my salmon, and I will use you recipe when I make them.

My son said he wants one of those t-shirts. He hates for people to crowd him in the checkout line, and has been known to.........nevermind.   

I was going to ask if the snow has finally hit. I wish so bad I could get a good radar link like we have down here in your area. I have a hard time reading the one you sent me. But I am sure it is cold and getting colder there. We have had frost a couple of days, but we still have a lot of green and hardly any leaf change yet. But its clearly coming. We have the windows open today but it won't be long. We haven't yet put up the storm door on the front yet either.

Do you have Canadian Geese? We have tons of them here, and they have the run of the place. It's illegal to feed them or to kill one, and they make themselves at home anywhere they want to.

Not sure what just happened to my post.  The salmon cake recipe uses left over cooked salmon.  It you want to use fresh Salmon please cook it first and then follow recipe.

Yup Canada Geese, National bird, shooting them would be akin to shooting a bald eagle and they know it which is why they taunt us by flying so low.  We can get a license to shoot them but last I heard it was on a draw basis.  My son's friend is part native so they can shoot anything they want anytime they want.  He just got a few geese and asked if I wanted one.  I asked him if they were cleaned, and he said no, so I told him ty but no ty I had no time to atm. He took the geese to his Grannie to clean.

A very attractive woman goes up to the bar in a quiet rural pub. She gestures alluringly to the bartender, who comes over immediately.
When he arrives, she seductively signals that he should bring his face closer to hers. When he does so, she begins to gently caress his full beard.
"Are you the manager?" she asks, softly stroking his face with both hands.
"Actually, no" the man replies. "Can you get him for me?" she asks. "I need to speak to him," she says, running her hands beyond his beard and into his hair.
"I'm afraid I can't", breathes the bartender. "Is there anything I can do?" "Yes, there is. I need you to give him a message" she continues huskily, popping a couple of fingers into his mouth and allowing him to suck them gently.
"What should I tell him?" the bartender manages to say.
"Tell him", she whispers, "There is no toilet paper or hand soap in the ladies room."

I'm here, Trimm!! And I listened to Tom a lot yesterday, on my drive to my sis's. Also, I have found that Tom chases away hangovers. I'm happy to report that Tevye was a bad bad girl last night, but didn't get into any trouble. But man, was it fun!!!

I never watch football, but my sis is a big sports fan. So yesterday, I actually watched MSU kick Michigan's keister! If there was a game to see, this was it. It was the best game! So exciting, and very fun to watch in a bar that was half State and half Michigan fans. I made the mistake of booing, sis said "no no no! Michigan does not boo us, we don't boo them". But it was way fun!

No, I was sorta thinking about feeling like that when I got in my car to drive home this morning. But then when I started the car, Rehab was on REAL LOUD! (hmmm...I don't remember it being that loud on the way home from the bar last night (I was only drinking Diet Coke, there are some rules I still follow! ) and so decided that I'd just rock n roll the hangover away. And then Tom was up next in the CD player, and I thought "Hmmm..wonder if Trimm left me some wake-up music this am?". I hate that my sis has no internet at her house. However, I am a very tired monkey. I think there's a nap in my future, and LaChoy Chinese for supper tonight.

And how's your back today? Use the pills if they make you feel better!

That old fool. Jimmy Carter now says that he didn't say that the 9/12 ers and others who oppose Obama's socialized health care are just racist.  Even though it is on tape and anyone can hear it. Liar--I think I saw some smoke coming from his pants.  It's his fault, BTW, that we have this trouble with Iran.  If he had not double crossed the Shah (Good Christian that Carter is, HAH) The Shah's son would now be in charge and Iran would be civilized as it once was.

I am so disgusted with Obama and his bunch of hoods from Chicago.  They are running the country just like old time Chicago pols. 

  Baby, I cannot believe that old fool is saying he is now claiming people that oppose O are not racist? I so agree with you about it being his fault the Islamist are in power in Iran. Jimmy Carter is going down as the worst President ever, unless Obambi over takes that crown.
