Trimm - I will definitely say a prayer for your nephew - I hope that with lots of love and cuddling from his momma and some down home good rest he will kick that darn flu to the next county!!

NoRose I hope you are going to have a good day today - If ear plugs don't work do what mend do "Selective Hearing" - they seem to be good at not hearing a word a woman has to say unless of course they like what you are saying!!!

Please say a little prayer for my nephew.He just had the flu last month and had brochitis last wee.He is sick again and has been retested for Swine Flu and it's positive again.    My sister just called.She is very upset.
He is my only nephew.   
gotta fix some grub.Be back shortly.

Sometimes I wonder about all these tests they do in offices.I know the little fella is very sick.   

GD doctor just told us that these test can have a 70% chance of being wrong. The ones done at ER and Doctors offices. That they are just a first step that then they have to be sent out and retested to really verify that it is the swine flu. That it just tells them if its a flu but not what kind. Hope this makes sense. Of course this is just one doctor.

I know years ago when I was working in a medical office I was up to date on everything.We tested in office and to then to the lab a lot of times.You make plenty of sense.I just worry.   

Of course you do. That's what caring, loving aunties do. This flu is just down right scarey stuff. Back in my day we had the Hong Kong flu. It didn't get the media we have today. When we were sick we stayed home until we were 100% well. We all had stay at home moms. Not like today they send the kids back to soon. As they have no one to watch them. As they have to work. IMO.

So true Green Eyes there is so much pressure put on young parents today with work and all that they aren't able to stay home for the duration of the sickness so it seems to get passed around and around.

   Don't be silly!  Do not be afraid - be more afraid by not calling!  NoRose just let them know you have had some life changes recently with Dad visiting and all....tell him your plate is getting full and you need something to get you thru this trying time.  Doctors understand this - go on now ..............make the call... come on... do it now.

Man Walks From Texas to Washington With 12-Foot Cross

ABERDEEN, Wash. —  A man walking from Texas to his hometown in Washington state has had a cross to bear for months.

James Strickland says he's been dragging a 12-foot cross from Longview, Texas, to his Aberdeen home since May.

The 39-year-old says he was praying about his troubled past when he received a message to start walking on a journey of renewal. He took along the cross, which rolls on wheels with his belongings tied near the bottom.

He expects to reach home Tuesday or Wednesday. Strickland says the trek has taken him through Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Utah and Idaho.

He says he hopes to reconcile with the mother of his two children.

Aberdeen police Capt. John Green told KXRO-AM that Strickland also has several misdemeanor warrants to clear up.
