Thanks MISSION. I don't think my back will ever be better, but I am sure tolerating the pain a lot better now. I am able to get a decent amount of house work done, and most of the cooking. Son does a lot of the cooking, but he is in the middle of mid-term exams right now.

Don't be afraid.  If you have a good relationship with your doctor, he'll understand and prescribe an antidepressant and some Ativan or something in the same family--for your father. N/K you seem to be at your wit's end and these two things wouldn't hurt.

All of you who are having trouble and/or illnesses in your family, know that I'm so sorry and thinking about you.

I got on my treadmill last night.that was stupid.Never do it at night.I felt like i was on crack or something.I thought I'd never go to sleep.I am gonna do it earlier today.     

  Wow thanks for that tid bit Trimm - Maybe I will do it in the morning esp on the weekends maybe that way I will buzz thru cleaning the house like I am on steroids.

Moderate exercise should be done at least 4 hours before bedtime.
I did get my spare bedroom cleaned last night.

sorry to post and run lastnight...a skimmed thru last few pgs and see someone was asking about getting swine flu more than once..
my 16 yr daughter was hospitalized a couple weeks ago with swine flu & pneumonia.  The dr says they can only get it once.  And they told us they chose around our area to only test ones that were hospitalized because the rapid tests were false pos and false neg too many times.  But, her test came back 7 days later so all it did was let us know she had it for sure.  they are treating anyone with high fever and respiratory issues with tamflu.....just what we were told for Southern Oregon

They say with bad backs you learn to live with it which is sad but if you are tolerating it ok then that is better than being flat out and in agony.  Bless your son's heart for his cooking that is so sweet.  I need my husband to learn how to cook - he is like a bull in a china shop when it comes to the kitchen.

NR- I feel for you, I got really depressed after my gpa passed away and we moved gma in...nothing seemed to work. Luckily I work with "scarey carrie" my other monkey daughter so she helps keep me cheery (well maybe not cheery but alive..lol)

Give me the phone # NOROSE. I'll call your doctor for you. You usually start out pretty good in the morning, and by evening you are a basket case. Call your doctor, PLEASE??? We are worried about you. 

I'm going to have too. I left for a walk, and my neighbor stopped me for a good 45 minutes to tell me about the fight he got into with the association, I then told him what I've been through with them. He is going to get paperwork together for the neighbors to sign to get the association out of here, and get new people on the board. He was so upset, I thought he was going to collapse, so I tried to calm him down. They are targeting him, and it is bad, and he has had eggs thrown at his car, he is very upset.

And Fanny, if the pain ever gets to the point for surgery, please talk it over with a couple of doctors, I know that I did, and by the time I got done, I thought no way. It is scary, and they wanted to put metal bars in my back, and told me I won't have as much range of motion. Really  who would have guessed that. So please, maybe even a chiropractor might help, it sure has for my husband's neck

Man Walks From Texas to Washington With 12-Foot Cross

ABERDEEN, Wash. —  A man walking from Texas to his hometown in Washington state has had a cross to bear for months.

James Strickland says he's been dragging a 12-foot cross from Longview, Texas, to his Aberdeen home since May.

The 39-year-old says he was praying about his troubled past when he received a message to start walking on a journey of renewal. He took along the cross, which rolls on wheels with his belongings tied near the bottom.

He expects to reach home Tuesday or Wednesday. Strickland says the trek has taken him through Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Utah and Idaho.

He says he hopes to reconcile with the mother of his two children.

Aberdeen police Capt. John Green told KXRO-AM that Strickland also has several misdemeanor warrants to clear up.

OMG No Rose, that is awful about your neighbor. What you guys need to do is get an attorney or get a news channel involved. That will get their attention. Now please go to the doctor and get well.

The President's speech was amazing. If people actually listened to it, they should recoil from the fear mongers and understand that this is a moral issue and that we should do what it takes to pass health care reform.
