JSM - when you went to the doctor, did they test you for swine flu?   

They tested me for just flu, it came back negative.

But we got a warning fax from the Dallas County Medical whatever it is called and they said that some H1N1 flu tests are coming back negative and to treat the symptoms as if they had the swine flu. Just an FYI.

I'm glad you were tested.   I just wonder if a lot of people might have it, and not even go to the doctor.   With your cough, and since you work with doctors, I thought you might have gotten it.    Looks like Trimm has a good chance at having it too, since she know people with it already.   Scarey stuff.

Well,I'll make sure and take all the cough syrup I can hold,cause I ain't leaving it for anybody else.   

     I wonder if those people who had it back in 1976 can get it again?

1.  In Youtube click on the EMBEDED link and copy it
2.  Paste that link in your message
3.  PREVIEW your message and notice the hyperlink that is showing (usuallly ends in a -1)
4.  Copy that hyperlink because that is the one you are really going to use
5.  Go back and FIX your post by deleting the EMBEDED links and pasting the Hyperlink you copied
6.  Highlight the hyperlink
7.  Click on the FLASH icon
8.  Change the size from 200,200 to 600,485
9.  Preview (just to be certain) and post

I always have a hard time with the highlighting the hyperlink, so I just mostly get all of it, and if there is a little extra, I delete it when I am on the reply box before I copy and then select all and delete the rest, if that makes any sense.

My daddy called it the "Pig flu" and I think this is a different strain. I remember everyone going to take the shots at the National Guard Amory's , and it was the wrong flu shot strain.

There are loads of cases in Dallas Co, but they say that most of the kids that get it are having the 3 day kind, not the kind that lasts 3 weeks. So that is a good thing. It is scary stuff. Mine was just a cold that turned into bronchitis. Thank God.

We've had quite a bit of it here in Maryland, too.      Take care of yourself and get plenty of rest so you don't catch it.

Me too!  They don't sell the 3 for a penny ones anymore (the ones with the powdered sugar dusted on them) that I know of.  They were my favorite!

Sassy,I did see a show about epidemics the other night.They said people who were alive then were already exposed and had a resistance.I am pretty sure you can get it more than once because it mutates.

Thanks, I've been playing with this for so long, funny part the doctor wanted to put metal bars that he even drew a picture of for me, and showed it to me. I started to laugh couldn't stop, I thought he was kidding. I went to three doctors and determined for myself that wasn't going to happen, and here I am, when the back goes out, I just say get back in place, because I don't have the time for this crap. Fanny did you ever have a mylogram? Where they inject dye into the back, strap you on a table, and the table moves all around like you are at the carnival? Then after you are not supposed to move like 2-3 hrs, well there I was in the bed getting up and down to go to the bathroom, nurse comes in and says you aren't suppose to get out of bed. They didn't tell me that, so then it was time to go, and my husband and kids were not there yet, so I waited outside the hospital, and I started vomiting in the bushes. But I wasn't going to go in and tell them, I seriously was ill with a head pain that didn't go away for a month, and was I sick, the doctor said this happens to some people    Then a little while later the doctor said we are wanting to do another test, I asked with dye, he said yes, and I told him you will have to kill me first, ain't going to happen. I guess they don't do those mylograms anymore 

Yep, the headache is from an air bubble that goes to your brain if you sit up too soon. No more for me, and no to surgery too. I can handle the pain so far, and can still mostly move around. I quit when I have to and get in a position to somewhat ease the pain. I cannot afford to get completely down with hubby's condition. I just keep on keeping on.

Now I am getting pizzed big time over this HealthCare BS!!! 

Yup, you summed it up just keep on keeping on. That health care bs, my dad and I were discussing that before. I asked him about getting a flu shot, he!! no was the answer
