JSM'S BEGGING FOR BANNING THREAD # 5

No Rose My Father was in the US Military. He signed up, was not drafted. He served during the years of his formidable youth. He joined when he was 17 ( had his birth cert rigged so he could join) That was in 1949 that he joined the military. As his daughter he never force fed politics nor stated much about it ..when I was a young child. I wanted to join a group that was known of American girls cross the nation .. which was in 1971. Was called "Blue Birds" which was the youngest of girl scouts. You had to fit within the age requirement and I think it was age 7 you were too old.  My Dad thought OK she will go to meetings and make crafts and sell cookies etc..
And that we did.  But My Proudest Moment of being a 5/6 yr old Blue Bird was to March down the center street of my Home town on Memorial Day ..following the Flag Corps who carried the American Flag. Was I marching because I was a Blue Bird ? NOPE. Even then I knew. I was Marching for the United States of America.
I found the photo of me marching when I was "5 almost 6" can you believe .. I have to download it and then I will post it. I still remember that day and how excited I was to be able to March for My Freedom.

I wore my white granny boots that were my favorite. As long as we wore our Blue Bird uniform we could embellish and that I did. I wore my Boots.

They came up to my knee and had laces up the front. I wore them with great pride not for glamor. For what reason I don't know I must have felt they were angel boots in pride of my father who wore " his boots" within the military.

Hello Me Monkeys -

 Lordy I was trying to catch up from my last post ( last night) my brain is spinning and ......speaking of spinning .. I checked my window early this am. Guess who is missing? The PIDER has left the web. I am going to look when the sun goes down and see if she comes back to nest.
Ahhhh. Why I call her a she ? I don't know.

I wanted to add that I watched the vid of the children professing to Obama as if he was the American Flag and it sooooo pizzed me off. That is not right nor is it up to a school to pump kids with ideology. When I was a kid in elementary school we stood for the Pledge of Allegiance. We did not stand for Richard Nixon. 

And when I was in elementary school, we stood for the Pledge and not for George Washington!  --or Martha.

They need to quit dragging their feet on our troop decision.Fund them or bring them home.

They need to let Glenn Beck speak to the United Nations.  Or at least to the full senate! Ha! That'll be the day!!   

They need the Stache John Bolton to speak to the UN. I love that man.

AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! But he needs someone to back him up. Even W didn't do that! 

The Stache is a genius and a tough son of a gun. I wish more people would back him.

The biggest Summit G20 is happening right now - HERE in the USA. The Elites and Heads of Countries, UN are in Pittsburgh NOW.  Hosted by OBAMA who are creating our new world financial system. Fanny speaking of Tricky Dicky Richard Nixon ...... 

I would like to say that Obama uses his Tricky when he speaks and its applied upon the platform in which he speaks. He has two totally different dialects that he ensues out ..

When he is being confronted as in the interview with George Stephanopoulos, = He was straight arrow and was complete in his words - very refined and Harvard. Now when he is speaking to what is willed to be the Americans and or Town Halls ...he grasps and uses his Gospel Voice his ..Dream voice of MLK. 
We all knew George Bush was a Texan and He never waived his accent - even when he mispronounced words.. He never wavered his voice due to his primary audience. I am not promoting GB just using him as example.

You are so right Deenie. What I totally hate about Obambi is they way he say Ahfghaneestan and Paakeesthaan. He is a poser, just like John Kerry when he said Genghis Khan Jenghis Khan.

It always ticked me off when people would make fun of GWB because of the way he talked and mispronounced words. We say newkler in Texas, not newcleear as it should be pronounced. Love him or hate him, he kept us safe and I personally would rather have a cowboy that will keep me safe, than have a poser that wants to give our freedoms away. JMO JSM

Hubby update.  The procedure was 7 hours long and went very badly.  So badly that he has to go back on Tuesday and they are going to try again.  I have a massive headache, probably from the weather changing so quickly as well as worrying about him.  I have jammed out and made a very simple dinner as he is not hungry so just me and the kids - potatoe and leek soup with beer battered cod.

I will pop in an out but hope I crash early tonight.  Thank you for all your prayers today.  At least he is home.

Northern I have no clue what your speaking of - other than your family is in pain - you included.
I put my arms around you and whisper in your ear - Breathe and breathe deep. Oxygen is the best remedy to headaches and add aspirin( if you can take it).  When your under stress mode Northern your body changes and you no longer inhale/exhale oxygen as you would normally. Which causes you to have a major headache. Your so concentrated on what is going on that your breathing becomes shallow - so that is why I am guessing you have a Rocker of a Headache.

Deenie Great picture. I have followed politics my whole life, I remember as a kid watching the news, Viet Nam (I was young), then Nixon, I remember wondering what the Israeli stuff was all about. I was all confused, but never asked questions from my parents.

It wasn't until Jimmy Carter came along that I knew we were in deep crap. Gas lines, inflation, the hostages, etc. Then my father's namesake ran for President. He was a God send for this country and I pray every night that God will send another like Ronald Reagan.

I was never indoctrinated by my parents, school teachers, professors, etc. I made my own mind up even as a child being made fun of for being the only kid that voted for Gerald Ford in the class election. I stood for my beliefs then as I do now.

Sorry for the rambling, Deenie just made me happy she showed the Blue Bird picture and it brought back memories of me as a Girl Scout freezing my behind off in a parade.

For many July 4th parades in my hometown I got to ride in a boat and throw candy. My dad worked for Mirro Aluminum Company and for some reason me and some other kids got to do that, and I was in a bathing suit, now you couldn't get me in a bathing suit riding in a boat in a parade for all the money in the world
