Thank you Mission.  I have some major yard catch up to do today.  We are heading below zero by Sunday and I still have not gotten ready for it.  I am going to go wander in the bush later and take some pictures for JSM.  She wanted to see fall and the leaves are falling like crazy today.

It just makes me feel more mellow. Is that a bad thing?

Good Morning
NORTHERN, I'm so glad to see you. I hope you were able to get some rest last night. How is Hubby today?  an angelic monkey

I did but kept waking up.  When I finally went to sleep almost slept in.  Gave daughter money instead of a lunch for school today.  Told her to go make the lunch lady happy!

He seems to be doing ok.  He is out right now wandering the neighbourhood.  Not sure what that is about but at least he is not peeing on the bathroom floor.

(glad to hear he's doing ok).

One afternoon at Cheers, Cliff was explaining the Buffalo Theory to his buddy Norm. Here's how it went:
"Well ya see, Norm, it's like this.  A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills br ain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

Spider-Man lookalike lizard is latest exotic pet craze
A lizard that looks startlingly like Spider-Man - Mwanza flat-headed rock agama - has become the latest fashionable pet.

That might give CC an idea for a new avi. Does that lizard look like he has on sneakers on his back feet to you?

duck boots maybe?

Hi there Monkeys!

Hi QM nice to see you.
Hi QM.  That should be a nice weekend for you Sassy  an angelic monkey

I just finished a big pot of homemade beef vegetable soup.   We call it "Grandma's Soup" because my mom used to make it all the time and my girls loved it.   Well, my mom doesn't cook anymore so now I make it for everyone.

Mellow is good.

Sassy that is so nice.  I have a huge pot of tomatoes stewing on the stove right now for tomatoe sauce.  I love the smell of fall in the house.  There is only one time of the year that you get all those smells of things cooking.  Probably why fall is my favourite time of the year.

Spotted Dick back on council menu

Council chiefs have reversed a decision to rename the pudding Spotted Dick after receiving "abusive letters" and accusations of political correctness.

Canteen staff at Flintshire council had decided it would be referred to as "Spotted Richard" on their menu after "immature comments" by some customers.

The council now says the pudding will revert to its traditional name.

But it has warned any customers who act in a "childish way" to behave themselves or be refused food.

Spotted Dick is a steamed suet pudding containing dried fruit, and is thought to have originated in the middle of the 19th Century.

I will do my best.  Figured out why hubby was wondering.  He saw a fox this morning and wanted to make sure it was not wintering in one of the sheds.   I gave him a grocery list and sent him to the store.
