I am going to go jump in the shower. I have been thread hopping today, and I haven't got a dang thing done today. I did fix a big pot of big white lima beans with ham. Sure makes the house smell good. It has been crappy and raining all day. I am going from my pj's I have had on all day, to a clean pair of pj's. There is something to be said for retirement!!!

It sounds wonderful to me - I can't wait, especially in the winter time when we are home and not traveling and camping - I will stay in my pj's for as long as I can everyday looking out at the snow and just read read read and chat with my Monkey friends.

Heading out Monkeys and off to get my hair cut - I am going to live by the rule established in this thread of doing something just for you and that is get my eyebrows waxed to!  Our furnace is fixed and I m not cooking when I get home either hee hee.  Se you all a bit later. Trimm I hope you are tucked away in your quiet den and all is ok.

Hope all monkeys (Trimm, JSM, Fanny, NRCG, No. Rose, Sassy, Mission, and other regulars in this thread that I may have forgot) have a great weekend, as I'm off 10/9 - 10/12.

Folks are in town from Cocoa Beach, Sis and BIL from Charlotte, niece and her husband a baby from Charlotte, and nephew and his gf from Queens are also all in town. All of us getting together Friday late afternoon after golfing with BIL and my Mexican friend for pizza and beer at my brother's and his wife's place in Northern suburbs, along with thier daughter who attends Purdue.

Will try to drop in throughout the day until 4:00.

My son has been to Perdue twice in the past year to help present workshops. Ask your niece if she knows Dr French.(Not my son.)

I know of Mr. French -

Uncle Bill leaves for a trip (and having trouble finding his dentist as well) and Mr. French goes out for the evening, leaving Casey to watch the twins. Then Casey leaves to go to a concert (big mistake) and leaves her friend Zanny in charge. Then Zanny comes down with the measles and her mama comes to watch the kids. Then her mama leaves to take care of Zanny and puts her husband and his poker pals on babysitter duty. My lord, what a turn of events, but thankfully Bill and French come home to see all the trouble that Casey started in the first place.

Family Affair, I wanted a Mrs Beasley doll so bad, never got one, I really wanted a doll like that 

So did I NoRose - my neighbor friend had one and I would sit and hold it and pull the string to hear it talk for hours 

Well, I'll tell ya'll my deepest darkest secret. I never had a bicycle of my own.    I knew how to ride, as my girlfriend would let me ride hers. I thought I would buy one for myself when I got older, and now I am too fat!! 

Fanny, you are never too old and never too fat. I asked Santa for ice skates for Christmas, he didn't bring me the good ones until I was 41 years old. So, get a bike and ride it. Get the three wheel kind. 

I would if we still lived in Florida. You never see them up here. If I was in Florida, I have me one of those fancy golf carts to ride around in.   

Maybe George and Cindy could send you one.  I saw a golf cart at the beer store the other day that looked JUST like a souped up Hummer, even had the fancy wheels and all. It was pretty cool. (PS I wasn't at the liqour store, it is my shortcut home from the rink and the golf cart was on a trailer coming from the golf course)

Why do I think that might be a wild time? A woman who used to drive 18 wheelers now on a fancy golf cart?      I think you are better off without the bike Fanny - although I doubt you are fat in the real sense but it might not be good for your back. 

Yep, that's what the doctor says. I was thinking about an exercise bike and he said absolutely not!   

I agree with your doctor, my aunt had back surgery, then a knee replacement and was riding her stationary bike, got stuck in the pedal getting off of it and it fell straight on top of her. Don't do it Fanny.  JMO JSM

TRIMM, MUNKEYMONK, JSM AND NOROSE, we are all here to be here for each other. God knows, I have had to have my turn to have you all here for me, and probably will again. I don't know what these past months would have been without us all being able to come together.   

Well said, and I agree    Now on the topic of a Cougar, I can guarantee one thing, I will never be a Cougar, I don't want a younger guy, and if something happens to my husband I am 99% I will stay single, unless of course, some very old rich man comes my way, and then I might have a hard time resisting. If I ever would get married again, I can say without thinking about it, it will be for money and nothing else.  But as far as a younger guy, blah, blah, no thanks.

I couldn't be a Cougar either No Rose, I can't find a date with anyone, much less a young thing. 

JSM, when you least expect it someone will come along. And if not, you have Josef, a good job, a good family, good friends. 

That is so sweet No Rose. I am thankful I have Josef, Monkeys, Family and Friends. What more could I want? Plus I don't see God and Jesus dumping a man on my front door, the only person that comes to my front door is the pizza man.  Oh, don't forget the Census takers that have criminal records that will be knocking. Just what I am looking forward to, bet they run real quick when Josef starts barking.

  Mission, have fun with the haircut and eyebrows. That is another reason I'm not going to my class reunion. I don't have time to get my hair done or eyes waxed.

So if my monkeys have nothing better to do on Saturday Night, maybe we could have a monkey reunion and talk about old times.
