ps I am a baptised United Church ..  it's all the same God.
Tevye is going to do whatever she has to do to recover and so I am.
I have to force myself to do what I am told, but I do it.

  Hi KatGram, I am glad you posted here tonight. I have kept you in my prayers even before I knew you were having surgery. You are right, He is the same God and He answers prayers and I will pray for you tomorrow KatG and tonight. I'm glad you got that fighting spirit as well. Hugs JSM

I just got back from walking Josef, was talking to my "stalker" and our Indian neighbor and his wife (not the one that cooks smelly stuff). They are so sweet, invited me AND Josef into their apartment gave me all kinds of sweets and something called puffed rice and these little sugar ball things.

I really wasn't in the mood to chat, but they helped take my mind off things. And it was really nice to have neighbors that open their home. They had their Diwali (sp) celebration and showed me their little set up, candles, lights and stuff. It was really lovely. Kind of like being here with my monkey friends.

Anyways, I am rambling on and on. Just wanted to let KatGram and Tevye know they are in my prayers as are all my friends here. 



O/T, had I have know Cindy and George were going on a cruise I would have made a bet on which one got thrown overboard. My bet would've been on George because he "knows a lot of things".

 JSM that sounds nice and kind of them. A long time ago we had Egyptian neighbors, they would give us some strong coffee and a dessert she would make, very good

That is so nice JSM.  I am so blessed to have the  wonderful neighbours I do.  I can not imagine what it would be like to not have an open door with our neighbours.  We are like one big family and look out for each other and help where we can.  It is not unusual for them just to do things for us without asking or even telling us as we do with them.

Its funny you guys r talkin about neighbors, we just had a couple come to our door and intorduce them selves, they r buyin the house next door! We live in a culdesac of brand new homes ours was built first then we watched other get built have 6 houses our other neighbors r our age too, a couple who got married in june and her brother and his wife live at the end, they r gonna have a baby in feb.

Its nice we r all very close in age, and get together and party

That is so nice JSM.  I am so blessed to have the  wonderful neighbours I do.  I can not imagine what it would be like to not have an open door with our neighbours.  We are like one big family and look out for each other and help where we can.  It is not unusual for them just to do things for us without asking or even telling us as we do with them. 

That is so nice that you have neighbors that look out for you and do things for you. I had one family when I lived in my house that looked out for me. I really sometimes wish I hadn't moved, but it was the best thing I did. I no longer have the feeling of deep dark depression looming over me because the ceiling is falling in, the water heater is broken and I can't afford to fix it. Now I just call the man and they are here in a jiffy.

I wish my neighbors would party a bit more. We have a "summer" party at the pool to meet your neighbors. I didn't go this year because I had to skate and didn't want to be seen in a swimsuit. The one last year, it was funny because there were women in their burhkas at the pool.

JSM - I know exactly what you are talking about when you say the "sugar ball things"  where I work we have some off shore people who work with us they are from India and they were at our office last week and they cooked up a TON of Indian food dishes and served them to us for lunch - it was unbelievable the amount of food - they had cooked for an entire day before.  Excellent food I might add - the rice dishes were so good.  I thanked them for the food and told them how good it was - they told me they toned down the spices by about 1/2 and let me tell ya it is a good thing because it was very very spicy. They did this to celebrate Diwali - it was very interesting because they made all these dishes and none contain meat because they don't eat meat.
