I am home. Things went well. TY for your thoughts and prayers.
Just has a general anaesthetic, no breathing machine.
My anxiety levels were a 3 out of a 10 this time out, so that might be another reason it went well. Off for another week, ten days or whenever I am up to it. We left that hospital so fast, they phoned here as I didn't sign out and they thought I was lost. I was dressed, they had said I could go, saw my daughter coming down the hall and we ran out. See y'all tomorrow.
Praying for Tevye too.

Kat, why do you have to go back? What are you having done? Too funny about you "escaping"! I'd love to have done that at about 3 am this morning when I couldn't sleep!

I have regained some faith in our Governor - he has been good on some things and not so good on others but this is good.

I am so happy for you that you are home. Being in the hospital sucks for what ever reason you are there. Glad to hear your sister is there to help you. Please take it easy and rest. Prayers for you and your family.

The pathology report showed that there was cancer in the margins. The oncologist sent me back to the surgeon. So, I had to have a re-excison and more taken. And there was something about it being close to an artery. I still have to see a different oncologist for radiation, surgeon thinks we're ok for rads and tamoxifin. Stage II A ( pT2NOMO ), but nothing in lymph nodes. Bone scan was good. No mets. I have a dressing on, but it looks as if he took quite more than a" bit ". It's all close to the side, so I'm not going to have any reconstructive anything done. I have some physio lined up for later, probably in the new year, one thing at a time.
I can still smell that stuff they gave me. Ugh.
I consider myself very lucky. I got diagnosed while there is still time to live.
My brain almost broke, but it didn't. And I get to see the little kids grow up
for more years. The almost three year old GD has some special healing powers too. She hugs me, we kiss, we dance, we act silly and I forget all about this carp. The 11 year old heals me too.

Oprah goes rogue, invites Palin on show

Tuesday October 20, 2009 2:22 PM By Verne Gay
Big news.

  No, bigbigbigbig news.

Sarah Palin and Oprah Winfrey are meeting.

Or, I should say, Sarah's doing "Oprah."

  Just announced. The details:

"In a world exclusive, Oprah Winfrey will interview former Alaska
governor Sarah Palin for an episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" to air Monday, Nov. 16, 2009.  Winfrey and Palin will meet for the very first time on the episode, which will mark Palin's first interview to discuss her upcoming book, "Going Rogue: An American Life" and her first-ever appearance on the "Oprah" show.

Anti-Islamic Dutch Lawmaker Event at University Cut Short as Crowd Turns Nasty

PHILADELPHIA —  Amid tight security and a large turnout of protesters, Dutch right-wing lawmaker Geert Wilders told an assembly of Temple University students that Europe and America must fight an ongoing "stealth jihad" that threatens democracy and free speech.

Good Morning Everybody!!!   an angelic monkey It's so good to see both our surgery patients back home and well taken care of.

We got off to an early start today as son left for his trip to DC. He was very excited for the opportunity, as they have been invited by the organization that gives them their Grants for their projects, and they get to show them off. They will get to tour a little while they are there and he is really looking forward to that.

Hubby and I are going to make Hot Pepper Jelly later today. We both like it on chicken and pork, but a lot of people like it on creme cheese and crackers. Someone gave me a big bag of peppers, and I am going to make a lot as we always seem to run out of it. I give it sometimes as Christmas presents too.
