sugarBabies  AFAIK LE has taken Nay Nay's car in to do some "CSI sh*t" recently, I don't think her car has been looked at before now.

About the Misty visiting a priest .... still trying to figure out what to think about that.

SOLE searching LOL

I just searched twitter and got: We couldn't find anyone named Orbison 11.

I see not booking for Ronald at the OCSO either.

http://twitter.com/orbison11

Looks like that was from Aug 5.  Didn't they pick him up that night that Mistly and Timothy and Ron got into a fight?

Question put forth by Steph in his latest article:
http://stephww.wordpress.com/

... <snipped from article>

If Misty confessed to a preist that she had something to do with the murder/disapperance of Haleigh, should he break his code of conduct and tell police?

---

Steph uses the word "priest", rather than 'clergy' (pastors/ministers), but I will try to give info based on what both would likely do.

Here's a longish article, yet well worth the read, IMO.  The matter of confidentiality from clergy has come up before in other cases.  Here's the link, and I've taken some snippets from it.

If you can't trust your pastor to keep a secret, who can you trust?
http://placerchaplains.com/Documents/Chapter%203_Confidentiality.pdf

"The clergy-penitent privilege is the right of persons who have communicated certain confidential information to the clergy in the context of pastoral ministry to prevent testimony in court regarding such communications. Such testimony is thus said to be "inadmissible."

"Generally ministers will not testify, regardless of what the trial judge says or does to them. The Catholic priest, for example, would be subject to excommunication for breaking the seal of confessional. From his viewpoint, the court's penalty is to be preferred to the church's penalty."

---

We've seen that Ron 'supposedly' preferred the Baptist faith, IIRC, calling that one church where the pastor spoke for him in the early days, 'his church', and that Haleigh loved going there.  I do not recall anywhere hearing that Ron/Misty is of the Catholic faith.  Whatever.  It really doesn't matter which at this point.  IMO.  Clergy is clergy is clergy.

What matters to me, is that of all the people in the world for Misty to 'confess' anything to, (*if* she did), for her to have gone to 'clergy' to do so........     sounds IMO like a sneaky tactic on the part of her attorney.

Know what I mean?  'Instead of being upfront with LE, let's have her confess to a priest/clergy, then the confession is privileged'.....  Sneaky.  IMO.  If said to a therapist, for example, still privileged but in a different way, and info a therapist has written down can be subpoenaed.  Not so with clergy/pastor/minister/priest.

Wkys I just saw your post.  Thanks for that info, it sounds kind of cruel to me if that's what she did.  So, she tells a Priest and then the Priest must not tell or face excommunication but Misty gets it off her chest.   Smart attorney but it could backfire and Misty doesn't really seem to care a whole lot what her attorney thinks about what she does since she doesn't always consult him first.  Maybe she's really getting scared now?

I don't believe that Ron has really turned his back on her.  He's a control freak and that would shock me.

YW, O4Bull.  And yes, if this confession actually happened, and *if* this was Misty's attorney's intent in advising his client, it really 'could' backfire on him.  Depending on what the clergy's higher-ups advise/allow him to do.

The Stacy Peterson case included clergy who was faced with a huge dilemma.  On counsel and advise from his higher-ups, he did take what he knew to LE, without harsh judgement from the church.  And because he did, many good things came of it, incl an arrest.

IMO, much of what's been going on for all these months in Haleigh's case, has not been about finding Haleigh, or even bringing justice for her.  Seems to me it's been mostly about CYA.  And if Misty's attorney is more concerned with any loophole he can find for Misty, even at the cost of this precious child Haleigh, then shame on him!  IMO.  But there are some who may want to remind me that he's just doing his job.  But how can he sleep at night?  Sigh....

If the Misty priest meeting is true and if she did confess I hope you are right Wyks. I am Catholic and what I was taught is that the priest can NEVER reveal a confession, no matter what it is, I am not sure if other faiths have confession and are the same. I remember asking a question in school when I was about 12, my question was "could a priest tell police, if someone told them that they were planning a murder".  I was told no, they can advise the person NOT to do it but that was about all, and that priests are to "save souls, not lives". I will not give my opinions on this.

Misty wants comments on her MYSpace.

http://www.myspace.com/501509439

I have a hard time believing that is her..........whoever did that page spelled encouragement properly

Satsuma is spelled wrong tho, does that count?  lol

Misty had the other town in her myspace tho, the one where they were staying at with GGma.

Morning Monkeys & guests,

She also says her heros are 'White Boy Greg and Nay Nay' and her relationship status as single.

Then in her Blurbs 'About me' section says 'A wife to Ronald Cummings' ??? I don't think this is her either.

First thing that jumps out at me is the whole page layout looks so much more 'mature' than the first one we saw....all bling-blinged and sparkling-flashing pinks.

Maybe she has aquired some spelling abilities while reading all the blogs & staying home at GGMa Sykes, instead of out partying everyday...

I dunno...just another oddity to add to the never-ending list in this case.
